Haircuts - Where Do You Recommend?

Recommended Posts

Once witnessed 6 copers struggling to contain Simmy at Tannadice, many moons ago now.

Used to love the poster in the shop too; "Grow yer own dope - Plant a hun!".

Vividly remember an A2 poster for U2's Joshua Tree in the shop too.

Sounds like an oxymoron.

FANCY playing FIFA and sipping on rum while you wait for a haircut?

Well, a barber offering that is opening in Aberdeen this summer.
Hard Grind has announced they are finalising a lease to open a store on The Green.
Following the success of their shop in Dundee, founder Colin Petrie felt there was a gap in the market in the Granite City.
He said: “We actually have a lot of people come from Aberdeen just for their haircut here and then they drive an hour and a half back up the road.
“We are obviously honoured by this, but I thought it would be great to open a store in Aberdeen.
“There are a lot of barber shops in Aberdeen, but not really any that offer the same experience.
“I could open a new store in Glasgow or Edinburgh, but I think there is a real gap in the market in Aberdeen.”
Hard Grind is sponsored by coffee drinks firm Rockstar and Sailor Jerry.
While the Granite City shop won’t have the coffee bar and football table which Dundee has, customers will still be able to drink rum, play the PlayStation and look at their clothing range.
Colin, 30, said: “I firmly believe that our barber shop is more than just a haircut.
“It’s the experience that makes us different.
“From playing the PlayStation, looking at our clothes range or having a free shot of rum – it all adds to the experience.
“We have people coming to our Dundee store quite happy to wait more than an hour to get their hair cut, because of all the other things they can do.”
Hard Grind will create three jobs in the city, with Colin planning to do shifts at the new shop too.

Can see quite a few folk I know lapping this up.

I envisage them going along to this place in a group then heading off to Nandos before getting booze for 'pre-drinks' then stumbling to Nox.

I usually just wander about town until I see a barbers that's empty. Today it was D&D for a short back and sides.
