Bluto10
hey im a man of quality spammer, you klnow that. but for telling the time, the cheapo watches you buy at petrol stations will do it as well as any.techinically they winna be as accurate to the ms, or a reliable, but they work well enough for 99.9% of the population. the addional quality that goes into, say, a rolex is largely unseen, and only of any use when its bought as an 'inbvestment' or some such. cow
What is the difference between a watch that costs £2000 and one that costs £200? . £1,800. I have no need for a watch since the advent of mobile phones. 1 Link to comment

ChutneyLove
One of my favourite watches just now is an eBay special by Khrone & Son (sp?). Skeleton automatic watch. Cost me about 30 dollars brand new. Another favourite is again an eBay special, Lacoste - simple silver chat. I think it was 40 pounds second hand. I have nicer watches for wearing out, but a lot of my favourites are cheapos. Tyrant
I bought a fancy one (by my standards) and ended up selling it because a) I hated being so paranoid about breaking the fucker (it was ceramic) and b) I knew I could double my money if I sold it. Link to comment

AndrewW
Just bought this.... http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/ProductImageCompressAll300/A07W_1_20120922_54444872.jpg Recently bought a designer watch for nights out and a beater watch for work/holidays. Wanted something more casual for everyday use and liked the look of this. My knowledge of watches is pretty piss poor so I hope I bought an ok watch. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
Yeah, Seikos are ok. I've got a few of them. Seiko 5 watches are good, budget automatic numbers. The old-school divers Seikos are now pretty collectable too, if you get one of those in good nick it will increase in value! Link to comment

AndrewW
Just bought this... which is a homage to the JLC master control, which I would have preferred, but this is £5.5k cheaper at £110 so I went for the Sea-Gull. Should be arriving in a few days with a orient blue mako so looking forward to that as well. Link to comment
