Watches...need Info

hey im a man of quality spammer, you klnow that.

but for telling the time, the cheapo watches you buy at petrol stations will do it as well as any.

techinically they winna be as accurate to the ms, or a reliable, but they work well enough for 99.9% of the population.

the addional quality that goes into, say, a rolex is largely unseen, and only of any use when its bought as an 'inbvestment' or some such.

And if you truly were needing something that was THAT accurate, you'd likely be using other instruments to do the timing and not a Rolex!

One of my favourite watches just now is an eBay special by Khrone & Son (sp?). Skeleton automatic watch. Cost me about 30 dollars brand new. Another favourite is again an eBay special, Lacoste - simple silver chat. I think it was 40 pounds second hand.

I have nicer watches for wearing out, but a lot of my favourites are cheapos.

Yeah, Seikos are ok. I've got a few of them. Seiko 5 watches are good, budget automatic numbers. The old-school divers Seikos are now pretty collectable too, if you get one of those in good nick it will increase in value!

Agreed.

I've got a few vintage Seikos. Great watches and there will always be a buyer if I decide to get rid.

Can anyone recommend a reputable jeweller or company In which I can send my watch into get repaired?

It's a Tag, but really not sure on the best way to go a bout it or who to go to.

Cheers

I used the place below M & S. Did a great job. They send it away so it will take a few weeks but excellent service.
