ive a long list like to have around 10-12 small bets .so they are

OUTRIGHTS (all EW)

Rose

Fowler (for me he has really impressed on links courses show patients, and good course management)

Poulter (If there is one major for him to win has to be this one)

Lowry ( this lad was breastfed, spent, and schooled on links course I had him 175s I see he is in to 100s so the money is going on him)

Tim Clark, ( likes to hit the ball in low might be handy here)

Garcia, (so straight off the tee his open record aint to shabby either )

Bjorn, ( had a good year and he could be in the mix will sandwich 03 play on his mind though)

Kaymer (coming back to form heard from many he is to be watched)

McDowell

1st round leader ( 3b years ago I had greggy norman at 200s e/w was one shot off lead very nearly my best bet ever!

Lowry 80s

Choi100s

Jimenez100s

I didn't think Westwood would win a major given his Short game and Putting but this is his best chance yet.

He's been putting brilliantly this week overall, although still throwing in the odd 3 putt from nowhere.

81 putts this week is an average of 27 per Rd and only possible because he's been missing too many greens.

31 of 54 GIR's is poor and at 57.4% is 3% behind the average of the whole field.

With only 24 of 42 fairways found for Lee, 57.1% is also behind field average so this is the wrong way round for him.

He normally hits tons of GIR's and putts poorly e.g. Masters 2011 where he hit the most GIR's and finished two back.

If he finds his normal Long game, he may well be uncatchable, particularly if he keeps up this putting.

The worst case scenario for him would be for his putting woes to return just at the wrong time, the back 9 on Sunday.

Whatever IBF has got him to focus on though, it's working wonderfully just now.

The test of his putting confidence is ahead of him now. This will be a fascinating Sunday, I feel.

Tiger's only made 3 bogeys all 3 Rds, a total of 9 and playing with the guy who's made the least mistakes, Adam Scott, 8.

Westwood's made 11 bogeys so we shouldn't be surprised if the winner comes from the penultimate group.

Woods and Scott have won majors, Lee hasn't. With Mahan shooting 68 today and having shown strongly in majors before, I can't see anyone challenging the top 4 on the leader board come the end although anything can, and does, happen in this game.

This could be the best Open in recent years. Amazing stuff.

So another contradictory post from the king of awful prediction.

I've backed Westwood from jan 2009 till last years ryder cup at every single event except the BMW at Wentworth as he hates the course, normally laying him on the Sat night. So I will be doing this again and backing Mickelson and Garcia each way, perhaps adding in Zach Johnston. Woods has been the most impressive player for me this week for the first time in many years he is the man to beat, he looks completely in control until he reaches for 3 wood.

Prediction:

1. Woods -3

2. Mickelson -1

3. Westwood even

3. Johnston Even

So westwood yet again bottles a major, much as I do not doubt his ability I think a major factor was Mickelson went out and attacked Westwood was negative, when will people realise the man will never win a major has not got the consistency or mental toughness, Mickelso was very similar to westwood before he won his firstmajor but in his interview today he said he used the dissapointmnets to spur him on to work harder I don't think lee wants it enough. and the amount of holes Johnson just missed today he would have won easily.

-4 for the last 6. That's helping yourself to a major. Sheer class.

Lee in the meantime shaves left edge at 15. It wasn't to be, Lee but at least it wasn't your putting this time.

His putting was sublime, that -4 on the last 6 was just incredible, especially the putt on the 18th absolute treat of a putt from him.

As for Westwood, he didn't exactly throw it away howevere he made it a lot easier for Phil than it should have been
