Site Sponsor RTYD Posted July 17, 2013 Site Sponsor Share Posted July 17, 2013 My prediction is at least second. We should push Celtic all the way provided we steer clear of injuries and the Clown is dropped. Not jinxing the cups by making any predictions at all. Link to comment

Huntlysheep
2nd & a cup final place. Cause we are the famous Aberdeen. COYR. Link to comment
Dynamo
No point predicting cups cos we could get Celtic away in the first round we're in which would be tough. We're favourites without Celtic I see, think Motherwell will be strong again as they've made some decent signings too. 2nd or 3rd. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
We'll be considerably better than we have been for a long time. I'm pretty certain of that. Not sure how good though... also too many unanswered questions with regards the other teams. Hearts and Dundee United both look weaker, while St. Johnstone have been very active in the transfer market, but I reckon they've actually managed to weaken themselves by signing guys like Fallon and McDonald! Wotherspoon also - he was crap at Hibs. Hibs have made a couple of good signings - but a lot will depend on what happens with Griffiths. If they don't get him back they'll be lucky to make top 6. Ross County and Inverness are the interesting ones for me - both managers did a great job last year, however, this year they've had to rebuilt after losing loads of players. Both have recruited heaps of new players - no idea if any of them are going to be any good! Very hard to predict what either will do next season. Kilmarnock and St. Mirren look like they could be battling with Partick Thistle in a three-way relegation dogfight. Motherwell will still be the team to beat outside Celtic. McCall has done a brilliant job there - however, he's lost a few good players, but they've also brought in some quality. Link to comment

ebbe
would like to say 2nd but we'll probably finish 3rd. I see we're 4/1 to win the league without celtic, is anyone having a punt? Link to comment

Sonoftherock
You not think Hearts will be down there? i'd have them as favourites. I thought so initially, but looking at their list, they haven't actually lost a great deal. I think a lot will depend on how the player react to the financial uncertainty. I would certainly be put off my job if I was worrying about getting paid at the end of the month... or potentially losing it! I might not have a full list of outs - the players I've got on my screen are: Arvydas Novikovas (Erzgebirge Aue), Darren Barr, Danny Grainger, Mehdi Taouil, Gordon Smith (Raith Rovers), Fraser Mullen (Hibernian), Denis Prychynenko, John Sutton (Motherwell). Sutton and Taouil were pretty poor for Hearts... Barr and Grainger will be a loss - however, they've brought in Danny Wilson to cover at the back. Link to comment

Last season they finished 14 points ahead of a terrible Dundee side. Link to comment

alscotoz
Top 4. A cup final, given a favourable draw (i.e. we avoid 'tic away). Link to comment
Tord31
Celtic win the leagueHearts relegatedPartick probably lose the play-off and we see two promotions for first time in 15-20 years. Dons probably looking at 3rd I'd say but go undefeated in August and I might be revising that upwards. Link to comment
buchanskii
Depends what McInnes sees as our strongest XI... Link to comment

StandFree1982
3rd or 4th depending on whether there is another strong team in the league. There is usually one team that excels above expectations such as Motherwell have done recently. Cups - who knows. I don't mind getting knocked out of the cup quite as much if we've played to the best of our ability and gave our all, but it's the lackluster pish that really pisses me off. Link to comment
King Street Loon
2nd or 3rd.Celtic will win the league again and It'll be between us and Motherwell for 2nd. McCall has bought quite well for them this close season imo. Link to comment
ollie1903
Anything less than first is failure. 2nd and a cup win I could handle though. Link to comment

Byrne Baby Byrne
What a laugh. Would love the players to have that attitude but as fans I think you need to be more patient. Can see it now... after years of 9th, 9th, 9th, 8th, the dandies are comfortable in 2nd but the fans are booing because the title has not been delivered in McInnes’ first season!! 1 2 Link to comment
Jackie Moon
Smeltic 1st... Motherwell or Aberdeen 2nd.. I also think a Scottish cup final place this year to.... Definitely an improvement on the last few years .... (Could it be any worse though).. Either way ill be making the long trip north as usual... Follow the reds through thick and thin... NorthernLights24
I'm expecting us to finish around 4th or 5th and have a decent run in one of the cups. I'm expecting more of an evolution then revolution. Link to comment
dervish
If every one stays fit very well. They won't though and our drum skin thin squad will be exposed. Top 6 but at the end of a long season think we'll be doing well just to get there. Link to comment
Crossbow
Some realism folks. A string of poor seasons followed by a manager whose cv is average at best and a squad which has as many flaws as strengths does not mean anything is guaranteed. Our team playing attacking football with a decent keeper may well be capable of delivering but equally a cautious don't lose approach will see us mid table. It will be up to our manager and his track record does not speak of such bravery. 1 Link to comment
ChutneyLove
Agreed Crossbow, but then you'd like to think that McInnes has learned from his mistakes? An attacking Dons side will get folk in the stadium and keep the chairman happy. Surely even the football spastic Milne could see that safety first football was driving fans away? Link to comment
Huntlysheep
He's done ok so far McInnes, he'll realise that if u deploy same tactics as Broon did fans will be on his back quickly. I for one will give him the chance, the pasts the past, he knows whats expected at Aberdeen. Link to comment
