fine-n-dandy
That must of been savage in winter stoppin a ba' wi numb hands. Dont make them like that anymore. RIPKind of like most of us on here used to as kids you mean? At least for most over the age of 30 unless you were lucky enough to get a pair of dimpled (like offshore polkadot gloves) free with a football but even then they were just a soggy freezing nightmare to wear & were actually best without, although they did take a little bit of sting out of a real rasper of a shot on a cauld day. Soon wore out after playing a few games on tarmac or ashfelt though. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Minutes applause for Johnny Hamilton at game on Sat & Hearts have also included Fred Martin in the tribute. At Tynecastle on Saturday before the game there will be a minute's applause in memory of two former players who were star's of the 1950s. Heart of Midlothian FC will pay tribute to Johnny Hamilton, after the former winger passed away recently aged 78. In a very nice gesture the Edinburgh club have kindly said the minute's applause will also be in memory of former Aberdeen goalkeeper Fred Martin who died this week. Link to comment
