SheepieBaaBaa
Anyone remember those trainers? Were my trainer of choice about 85 / 86 but haven't seen them for years.Did a search on google, but could find the footy boots but not the trainers. Was thinking of getting a pair for the nostalgia..... Link to comment
daytripping
Puma in 85/86! Which housing scheme are you from? Adidas Trimm Trab was where it was at back then, Puma was poundstore stuff, no offence mate. Link to comment
Nelly
disagree Dayts, I remember Puma Californias and Puma Set being all the rage about '84, usually worn with the adidas tracky top, Tacchini t-shirt and light jeans. Link to comment
fatjim
It's like two ned Gok Wans chatting about who is the neddiest. Link to comment
SheepieBaaBaa
Haha, just did a Google on Puma Schemers and the first hit was my own thread on here. Totally forgot about it. Got to say though, no way were they poundland stuff (would've been the 99 pence shop back then anyway). Schemers were epic.Puma match were a pretty pish right enough but the black schemers were a nice trainer. Really want to get a pair for retro nostalgia. I was from an estate right enough though, but it was in choochter-land, so kind of like a "Disney housing estate" with amusing "character scumbags" rather than proper scum and dangerous psychos. ChutneyLove
Puma Schemers then were today's Paki Sliders. 1 Link to comment
SheepieBaaBaa
Paki sliders need the tassels though. Pair o white socks and some Farah troosers cut to just above the ankle. Pure class min. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
The ultimate Paki Slider? Blurto will definitely have a pair of shoes with tassels. Link to comment
SheepieBaaBaa
Straight down to "DE Shoes" for a pair tomorrow. Nice !Shame the Metro's closed, would be certain o a trap wearing them. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
I had a pair of Puma Paris when I was a kid I thought were cool. Looking at them now, they are honking. Link to comment
SheepieBaaBaa
Might be best if I stick with the mental image of the Schemers. The reality may ultimately be a disappointment. Not even any pictures of them on internet.....like the Yeti (Yeti, Yeti, Yeti) Link to comment
