Ke1t
Consistently the clip that wins 'funniest moment in British Comedy' awards is 'Del Boy' falling through an open bar. I never really thought it was particularly funny, and off the top of my head could come up with half a dozen moments I thought were way, way funnier... one being so funny (to me) that I threw up with laughing. I hadn't given it all that much thought, though, until I saw Stewart Lee talking about it, saying pretty much the same thing... Del Boy falling through the open bar... it was amusing, but the funniest thing ever to happen in British comedy? I realise people's tastes are different, and my own comedic tastes are way off the mainstream, but surely people can think of way funnier incidents than 'Del Boy Falls Through Open Bar' I'll offer up Stephen Fry and Rowan Atkinson punching fuck out of Hugh Laurie as a funnier effort. tommo1903
There was a scene in Limmys Show that was funnier. Link to comment
laphroaig
The clip in Twin town.... leading up to and when fatty falls off the roof. Link to comment
360
Stewart Lee is a smug, fat and unfunny cunt. I'm glad he's a failure, and it's clear he resents funnier people than him who have had success. Link to comment

I think he's pretty funny. Not the funniest, that would be Mr Doug Stanhope, but still, I'd rather watch an hour of Stewart Lee than a femtosecond of fuck, I don't know, who do the kids like.. that lanky, scruffy, unfunny cunt.... fuck's his name... Russell Brand. Twat of a man. Link to comment

Never liked the cunt since he started on MTV going to clubs in Ibiza and freaking out fellow disco biscuit munchers by speaking shit to them. He's a horrible fucking toad. Link to comment

cow
You could and should quote airplane to find much funnier lines. Example 1. Rumack: You'd better tell the Captain we've got to land as soon as we can. This woman has to be gotten to a hospital.Elaine Dickinson: A hospital? What is it?Rumack: It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now. Example 2. Hanging Lady: Nervous?Ted Striker: Yes.Hanging Lady: First time?Ted Striker: No, I've been nervous lots of times. Cow. Link to comment

daytripping
Del falling through the bar was comedy genius, as was the attempt to take out a chandelier, yer being too harsh kelt. Black adder is a chuckle, that was an unexpected real laugh. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
Del Boy falling through the hatch was funny first time round. The chandelier was brilliant. I watched the episode again recently and was laughing for a while before it happened in anticipation. Some of Blackadder was great, particular series 2 and 3. Series one was pish, and series 4 set during the Great War was average. Baldrick down in the kitchen explaining to the Prince that he'd written a poem about him being a "lovely" to cover Mrs Miggins was good. Blackadder re-writing the dictionary episode really good. Ke1t
Another great effort, imo, was the Red Dwarf episode where Rimmer has the crew in quarantine in case they're crazy... then proceeds to tell them how he begged the King of the Potato People to release them. Link to comment

Him at the Hugo Boss awards a few weeks ago is comedy gold - youtube it. blackadder is classic NO IDEA what series 1 was about though, stil not even watched them all; awful series 1-3 - magic So the first series of Blackadder is both awful and magic?
