ChutneyLove
Let's see if this even gets to page 2. Can Scotland beat them home and away? Tough one, but you never know. In a half-full, disinterested, wet and windy Tuesday night at Hampden, anything is possible. Link to comment

If so, they should have moved the game to Tynecastle. Funnily enough, I reckon this might be quite a good game. Think Croatia will open up and have a right good crack at us. BTTS looks a decent shout. Interesting to see what sort of team Strachan will put out. Need to stifle their midfield if we're going to have a chance - if we let them play then they'll murder us. ChutneyLove
Kenny has retired from International fitba, Ke1t. To be fair, he has been in semi-retirement for some time. Link to comment
tup
Croatia have nothing to play for so in typical Eastern European fashion they probably won't try. There's a fair chance we will win, they have not won since we beat them. Link to comment

Reading a few newspaper reports, there is a suggestion they will rest a number of players who are a yellow card away from suspension. Apparently these carry over to the playoffs. Link to comment
tup
Aye they won't be up for it. We probably will. 2-0 Scotland. Link to comment

Hampden - 52,000Tynecastle 17,500. Bit of a difference. Crowd will be about 30,000 I'd guess. Link to comment
Huntlysheep
Care? Another meaningless international. 0-3 Croatia. Link to comment

I'm well aware of the difference in capacity. Thanks for pointing it out though. IMO I'd like to see these type of meaningless games and friendlies moved to other parts of the country. Give families in other parts of Scotland the opportunity to attend. I also think that a packed Tynecastle would provide the Scotland players with more of an edge, rather than playing at a half-full Hampden, where the supporters are set back from the pitch. tup
I think the crowd will be nearer 40,000. Link to comment

COYR!!! Come on Huntlysheep. You are better than this. You don't have to become one of these pricks that replies to every Scotland match thread about how much you don't care about it. I can't believe we've only taken 2 points from home so far. What has happened to Hampden? The performances and the atmosphere are nothing like they used to be now. I'd say everyone in the group bar Belgium has under performed. If we had beat Serbia at home, Macedonia at home and Wales home and away we could be in a decent position... very winnable games! Byrne Baby Byrne
I read that Croatia aren't 100% guaranteed a play off spot since the runner up with the lowest points total won't make the play offs. So maybe they might try after all. Is this the last international break of the year? There's a play off one in November also I'm sure it's the case every year but this season has really felt like constant international breaks so far. We haven't qualified but are playing USA on the Friday night. I will allow "who cares" comments for that one for sure!! Link to comment

Brings back memories of the Iwelumo miss (my only ever Hampden visit for Scotland) and the Caldwell brothers being a pair of fannies... On the bright side though, you can now fly direct from Aberdeen to Oslo (Gardermoen) daily with bmi Regional. With prices starting from just £49 each-way, there's no excuse not to take a trip to the "Paris of the North" on the UK’s most punctual airline. Book online at: www.bmiregional.com or something. Brings back memories of the Iwelumo miss (my only ever Hampden visit for Scotland) and the Caldwell brothers being a pair of fannies...I remember watching the game on tv with my old man and going mental thinking the Iwelumo goal had been disallowed for offside. Then they showed you the angle from behind the goals. Link to comment
