fine-n-dandy
I did say that if Hibs were going to go after any other clubs manager in this league then it would be ICT's, or failing that Motherwell's Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
Looks like you were correct YET again this guyNo not really because I didn't actually believe they WOULD go for Butcher because of the compo they'd have to pay but if they were willing to stump up, then he'd be the best choice. No way would they have paid compo on a gamble like McInnes, that's my opinion though. Link to comment
Tommy
So Butcher agrees terms but ICT haven't had any contact from Hibs....Say No Hibs.A bit of ill feeling and we'll see if this is another hun who does do walking away. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
So Butcher agrees terms but ICT haven't had any contact from Hibs....If he's agreed terms & wants to go & has not signed a contract that has been on offer at ICT for several months, then it's going to happen. There will be a compo amount set as a minimum for leaving but ICT can possibly try to get a little more from Hibs because they've been cunts about their approach. Byrne Baby Byrne
Interested to see how he gets on there. Wouldn't be surprised if he takes the Hibs job this week but is managing Caley again next season Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
They've just lodged an appeal against the Liam Craig two match ban. Probably in a desperate bid to get it reduced to just the cup game so he can play on Sat but it will be upheld. Link to comment
Dynamo
Might as well leave just now. OK they have the prospect of a cup final but apart from that the only way is downhill at ICT. 2nd in the league...still getting piss poor crowds. Jump now while his stocks high. Link to comment

He knows this. Hibs have a much better set up. Bigger wage bill & are even willing to pay the odd transfer fee. This is a sensible stepping stone for him & he will likely do very well there.Players seem to respect him & he seems able to both find a few gems & get the best out of some very average players also.He will attract much better players to Edinburgh than he could ever hope to attract to Inverness.A wise move for him imo plus he'll likely be earning double the money which is an added bonus. fine-n-dandy
Not as far as I heard last. I'm sure they reached an agreement on that.Anyway, I'd like Jimmy to get the gig. He wanted to take them to court for wrongful dismissal. Basically wanted his contract paid in full (plus a pay off) & to be able to seek employment at other teams. But as it stood (last I heard & heard nothing to say otherwise) he was to continue getting paid his regular wage up until the end of his specified contract, or until he finds another job. I believe his contract was until 2014 (possibly even the Summer of 2014) Link to comment
Ke1t
This is where Butcher will prove his mettle or crash and burn. Hibs has underperformed for many years, even when they had guys like like Riordan, O'Connor, Brown, and Whittaker they were managing to finish in the bottom half. If the door-kicker can bring them consistency he'll be off to the English leagues in a few years... if not, punditry. Link to comment

I think Jimmy's a chequebook manager, though, and he won't get much cash to play with in the Heelans. ...and there MUST be something going on that no-one has offered him a job long term. Redstar
I have it on good authority that Mchun was the preferred choice but declined the HIV job on the say so from Castle Greyskull...he looks to be Iprix bound when his best mate gets found out in the Scottish Championship...we are in effect providing much needed training for future hun management...which is a sorry state of affairs. Hibs wanted McInnes, but Sevco5088 stepped in and told McInnes that he can't take the Hibs job because Sevco5088 want McInnes for the Sevco5088 job when Sevco5088 realise McCoist is pish? There's a wee problem in the logic here. In order for Sevco5088 to want McInnes as a replacement for McCoist, because McCoist is pish, Sevco5088 would have to already be aware that McCoist is pish, meaning they should be trying to poach McInnes right now. If it's a case of not wanting to pay McCoist 2 million in severence, and want to wait for McCoist's contract to expire, then, given Sevco5088 fans hate Aberdeen fans way more than Sevco5088 fans hate Hibs fans, wouldn't it be preferrable for Sevco5088 to poach a Hibs manager rather than an Aberdeen manager when McCoist's contract expires, meaning that they would in fact be delighted that McInnes was headed to Hibs, so that they don't alienate their subhuman fanbase by bringing in Aberdeen's manager? I would question the veracity of your source, Redstar, loon. Link to comment
