Anyone seen this on sale on the club website?

Just me that actually thinks, all things considered, it might be a decent read? Granted he was one of our worst ever managers but who knows what potential he might have had if he was in better health.

Read it...

The man was a trainwreck, a self-confessed shambles while he was at the club.

However, given the circumstances surrounding his tenure, at least as many fingers need to be pointed at the man upstairs as the drunken, gambling-addicted disaster of a manager.

Never bought this "it's an illness" shite. An alike spent many thousands of pounds and invested many hours to becoming addicted. The many warnings were evident to them on every step of the way. It was simple old-fashioned lack of self-discipline that afflicts every alike, not a disease that randomly hit the loser cunt.

He looked an absolute mess on Saturday at the Locos/Formartine game

A couple of seasons ago our team were in a pub in Fochabers after a Scottish Cup tie on a Sunday and he was in with a lady. Each round he was ordering a pint of Guiness, 2x glasses of red wine and a nip. One red wine was for the lady, the rest was his.

I thought at the time it was a horrible concoction of drinks to be on at the same time.

Not 100% sure I'd agree that gambling and alcohol addictions constitute an illness either but bound to have had an effect on his health both physically and psychologically during his time with us. For that reason, it is interesting to think whether a Steve Paterson free of addiction, or 'illness' if you want to say that, would have been more successful with us.

Regardless, the book seems a good read. It would be sad if it is true that he has since returned to his old ways but think his story might be worth some time.

Reading his book he's always had real issues even before he started his managerial career. I won't spoil certain bit's of the book for you as it's a decent enough read. He got progressively worse but got away with murder up in Inverness. One phone call to anyone in the know up there would have told us not to touch the jakey gambling addict with a shitey stick. He had no hiding place at Aberdeen. In saying that he sounds a deeply troubled dude with real issues, no way was he suitable for AFC, they fucked up there taking him on, what kind of back ground checks did they carry out? Couldn't have been much.

What does he do now?

Does he have an actual job or just manager of (soon to be punted apparently) Fortmartine, is that all he does in way of income?

With his net income from Formartine, along with comp car, there is little need for his to work additionally.

When Shearer was manager of Buckie, he was on £600 P/W + expenses.

He worked at a residential school near Banff for years. Certainly worked there when he went back to Huntly and then at the start of Formartine not so sure about just now though.

You guys need to do some more reading, a good read? An abomination of a man, why the fuck was he called Pele? Can barely string a coherent sentence together , disgraceful appointment and should not be on sale at the club shop, its an advertisement for failure.

Party animal alert.
