Not often I pay any notice to English fitba at all, but just read Wayne Rooney has signed a five and a half year contract worth up to 300k per week, or about 86,000,000 (86 million) quid potentially.

Apparently the way Utd are seeing it, is that they would drop a big wodge of that 86m on a replacement, then of course wages on top...so as well hanging on to the pug faced cunt. Still - paying him more than Messi, is quite frankly fucking retarded.

While I agree its a lot of money United couldn't allow him to run his contract down and leave. Regardless of what people think he's still one of the best players in the EPL. Hasn't been great since his return from injury but pretty much carried United for early part of season, without him they would of been probably in the bottom half of the league.

Been the best Utd player this season and glad they have kept him instead of letting him go to Chelsea, but £300k a week? Not sure. Moyes needs to spend big time this summer if he wants to keep his job, and potential new signings seeing Rooney's wages might be attracted to Utd.
