I see the bold Alan Pardew has been find £100k by Newcastle for sticking the heid on an opposition player on the touchline.

Some good quotes from the man himself:

I tried to push him away with my head.

I don't think it was a headbutt. It wasn't a motion that was quick.

I wonder how this would stand up in a court of law?

(I havent seen a video of it yet; I like Pardew but he obviously allows himself to get overtaken by things)

It's all rather amusing. £100k pretty harsh and he'll probs get banned for like 10 games. Big lolz though. Stupid twat.

Thing is £100k fine.

1or 2 months wages?

Wonder if Newcastle take this opportunity to get rid and get themselves out of giving him a contract till 2020 without having to pay him off.

Silly sod though

Aberdeen amateurs have 2 offences. Some of the suspensions in amatuer football are extremely harsh so it will be interesting to see what he gets, especially given his previous indiscretions.

Red card for pushing your head into opponents head - 6 game ban

Red card for head butting - a trip to visit the committee in Dundee and an 18 to 24 month ban

The 2 camera angles, one makes it look much worse than the other

Be interesting to see how big a ban he gets

Think Newcastle have dealt with this really well, acted swiftly and gave him the fine. Hard for them to sack him because a) he has 6 and a half years left on his contract (massive payout) and b) they are doing well in the League this season.

Incorrect,

It is a 1 year rolling contract, for 8 years. so any pay off would only be 1 years amount

Bit of passion and there's nothing wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with passion, but he crossed the line, and there has been a whole host of other incidents with Pardew the last 18 months, he needs anger management, counselling or a kick in the jacobs.

The boy shouldn't have pushed him, he doesn't do that then Pardew isn't going to stick the head in him, wasn't even that much of a headbutt to be honest.

What kind of defence is that ?

Retaliation is not an excuse.

Duncan Ferguson got a 3 month jail sentence for head butting John Mcstay in retaliation.

Certainly no defense but pretty amazed the Hull boy not been cited aswell by FA for actions before or after.
