fine-n-dandy
If we do the double & finish second we are certainly going to create a lot of interest in players (maybe even Clangers) so who do you think we will offload & for how small a price? Obviously everyone has a price but we would (for a wee change) actually be in a slightly better position to negotiate a better price. My opinions on who we would accept offers for, or minimal price acceptable. Rooney-----------£1m+ (maybe not worth that but why should we risk losing a decent striker for less)Zola------------Free (but would prefer if someone would take over his contract first)Pawlett-----------£1.5m+ (same as with Rooney, as in why risk having to replace unless we're getting very good money)McGinn----------£1m+Jack-----------£1m+ (very much a future mainstay & possible captain, if Reynolds gets sold)Flood-----------£1m+Robson-------------NA (we're his last team)Hayes----------£1m+Considine----------£1m+Anderson---------- NA, same as RobsonReynolds-----------£3m+ or you can go fuck yourselfShaughnessy----£400k+Clangers------------In our dreams Obviously we'd like to build on a winning side (if that is in fact the case) but the reality is that we likely will have to sell if any decent offers came in. Not claiming that as the actual value of the side combined but merely the prices I see as enough for us to buckle & jump at. (didn't bother with youngsters as they would go for compo most likely as per usual) Link to comment
Tord31
This is a thread to fill in the time in May/June. Bring it back then. The one good thing is that the only first picks at the moment not signed up are Logan, Anderson and Robson - probably our lowest proportion at this time of the season ever. Link to comment

Ke1t
If we get more than 4-500k for any of our players I'd be astonished. Rooney----------- 500k if we sell him now, If not, will leave for free. 2.5 years on his contract, so I suspect free. Zola------------ - (minus)100k. We will pay him to leave. Pawlett----------- 500k if we sell him now. 3 years on contract, so we might get something. McGinn---------- 500k if we sell him now. 2 years on contract... so we might get something. Jack----------- The exception. 650k if we sell him now. A little over two years on contract. Future Scotland international if he leaves Aberdeen. . Will probably lose him for nothing to a mediocre Championship side. Flood----------- Can't see the length of his contract.. no idea. 400k if we sell him now. Robson------------- Nowt.Hayes---------- 200k if we sell him now. 2 years on contract. Will lose him for nothing. Considine---------- I think he's with us for good. Nowt. Anderson---------- Nowt. Reynolds---------- Didn't he sign like a four year deal? 500k. Shaughnessy---- 300k if we sell him now. 2 years on contract.. will be off to League 1. So Nowt. Clangers------------ See Considine. Some good money if we sold the entire team today. Around 3.5 million quid in total. Link to comment

Even less than your low valuations Link to comment

Even less than your low valuations Since we're specuiating, I'm speculating that we could sell them now I don't think the evaluations are particularly low, though... we have a tradition of losing our players for nothing or, at best, a fraction of their worth. A tradition that surely reached the pinnacle of our craft in fucking ourselves over when we gave Billy Dodds and 750k to Dundee United in exchange for Robbie Winters. I remember that was the first time I voluntarily smacked myself in the face with a hammer. * Got my Doddses mixed up. Billy not Davie. Davie was hard to look at though. Affa face on him. ollie1903
We'll sell none, release some pish and with three or four quality additions to replace them, we'll be making an assault on the league title Link to comment

RowieMan
I have zero interest in what we think the players value is. This last two weeks must have shown the club that there is a potentially huge fan base in the area, and that having a competitive team will generate greater revenue through tickets and club shop sales. It also makes us far more attractive in terms of commercial sponsorship as well. As for Milne "cashing in", I don't see it that way. I think if a players wants the move then Milne won't block it, but will look to make sure we get maximum fee for that player. Longer contracts have meant that we are not held to ransom and forced to sell on the cheap. I applaud the club on getting key players signed up on longer deals and giving us a great season so far, with hopefully plenty to celebrate and build on again next season. 2 Link to comment

Site Sponsor RTYD Posted March 11, 2014 Site Sponsor Share Posted March 11, 2014 I think the thread is largely irrelevant. Money is tight these days so the types of transfer fees quoted will largely not be achieved. We got most of these guys for free so if they leave for nothing at the end of their contracts that just football as it is today. Plently more where they came from and critically we have shown we can get them. Link to comment
gla5gowdon
As long as we negotiate. We have players locked down for a while. Liverpool paid £2mil (potentially raising to £5m) for Danny Wilson. Would hope to get at least £2mil for Reynolds if that's the case. 2nd and two cups will be good for everyone's CVs. Link to comment
