fine-n-dandy
What do you think we'll get? I'm going for a modest guess at 71 points & I think that will be enough to clinch second place. Less than 71 would be pretty poor finish from here I think. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
77Fuck me that's optimistic. You think we'll only drop 5 points from next 24? I certainly hope you are a lot closer to it than me. Link to comment
rossafc92
Noticed that we need 6 points out of the last 9 available before the split to avoid the third round of pre-split fixtures providing us with our poorest points return. Collected 20 from the first 11 games, 24 from the second round of 11 games, and thus far have only 14 from 24 available, with 9 left to pick up. Link to comment

(obviously 9 would be ideal)If the dropped points are against Hibs or Hearts rather than Utd, then all the better. Link to comment
Tord31
That third XI total could be title winning credentials some seasons (like last year). Celtic's points tally this season is phenomenal and they are unlikely to repeat it in the next few seasons Link to comment
Ingolfsson
Current total - 58 United home - 1ptHearts away - 3ptsHibs away - 3pts ------------------------ (Guess work on post-split games but we will have 3 home, 2 away) Motherwell home - 1ptCeltic away - 0ptsUnited away - 1ptSt Johnstone home - 3ptsICT home - 1pt TOTAL 71 POINTS Link to comment
Tord31
As high a total as possible is important if we are to believe a title challenege is possible next year i'd like to see 74 ish points - which is do able. You are then looking at finding 10-15 points more next season to go for the title. Now zero points versus hearts...can easily be replaced by 9 versus dundee etc. Would give the belief Link to comment

JuanSebastianVernon
Would be delighted if we could match the tims total of 79 from last season. Link to comment

Less than 71 would be pretty poor finish from here I think. Looking more & more likely that this will be pretty close to the finishing tally (imo)Hitting a bit of a slump but fkn hope we take three from Hibs & even though I´d like us to take more post split to relax a little I still believe that seven points post split & a finishing tally of 71 points will be enough to secure second place.Cup is the priority & will cause us to drop points in the league I think.Motherwell are in a good position regarding the league because that´s all they have to think about but we will still better them. Going to go to the wire though but hopefully we have a cup final to worry about also. It´s fantastic for the nerves. Link to comment

ChutneyLove
I'm saying whatever the points are now +18. No reason The Dons can't win every game. They've beaten each of those teams already this season, can do it again. Link to comment

Clydeside_Sheep
Aye the OP nailed it - it looks like 71 pts for us. That would be fitting as we would then be the only team (other than sellick) to have burst the 70 pts mark. Link to comment

Henry
I see this is our highest total since three points for a win came in. Link to comment
Tord31
therefore highest total ever presumably? Link to comment
Dandyesque
Beat Motherwell on Sunday and we will finish the season on 71 points. Celtic won the league last season with 78 - and we have dropped a lot we should have won this season - a couple of games against Hearts spring to mind. Just goes to show that it is possible to challenge for the title Link to comment
