RowZ
Loons and Quines of London. With the Rob Roy shut for the foreseeable, One of the RRR's regulars has taken over the Waterfront Bar in Streatham. The bar is right opposite Streatham Common and is a short walk from either Streatham or Streatham Common stations. Trains to Streatham are from London Bridge, Victoria or Blackfriars. It's a cracking pub and a new 50" screen went in today. It also does very fine Pizza's! Hopefully see a few of you that can't make it up to Glasgow there on Sunday. Pub will open at 11am. dervish
Read this as the WF in Wick... not the best venue for anything aside from a night of depression. Anyways London based dons enjoy your day. Link to comment
True_Don
Streatham, what a sh1thole. Link to comment
RowZ
It's up by the Common which is a nice area. Whole area is improving though, lots of gentrification. Pub is going to be amazing in a few months, it's already very good and the plans to improve it are very cool. Link to comment
Hewitt1983
All the best, London Dandies, glad you didn't have to wait long to find a new watering hole Link to comment
vanderark14
Its called the water front bar but there's no water in front of it Thats very misleading Link to comment
RowZ
It's bloody daft is what it is. The old owner had to change the name half way through painting the sign and that's how it got such an inappropriate name. Word is it will likely change in time! Link to comment
Bluto10
Is it near where hunky Hollywood beefcake Jason lives? Link to comment
ChutneyLove
Is it going to be a Dons bar - or just a bar owned by a Don? i.e. will there be a picture of Willie Miller on the wall, or just the odd passing conversation about the legend? Link to comment
Mikeyboy1903
At least you get a English Pub to show a Scottish game ............. everytime I've been down that neck of the woods they actually think your taking the piss.... Glad London dandies have a place to meet. Link to comment
RowZ
It will not be a Dons bar like the Pitt but there could certainly be the odd nod to the Dons in the place. Plans to make it look really cool inside and obviously he has a lot of regulars that he will need to make it a success. Decent folk, the regulars in there so hopefully we can just add to the mix and maybe pick up a few new reds along the way. The way pub is laid out for smaller games there is an area separate fae main bar that can hold circa 40 folk. Link to comment
