Byrne Baby Byrne
Just a bit of fun since the season is done. Whats the best combined Dons XI only made out of players you've watched for us? If you only saw Jim Leighton in the late 90s you have to take him on that form and not the 80s. I only really seen the end of Stewart McKimmie so have to take him on that... still probably better than any other right backs we've had since though so he makes it in. Even though he's an arse!! I figure the younger you are the shitter your team will be - which should be amusing. Since I've picked McInnes as manager I'll go for the standard McInnes formation Gaffer: Derek McInnes -------------------------------------Theo Snelders---------------------------------- Stewart McKimmie - Russell Anderson - Brian Irvine - Kevin McNaughton ----------------------Roberto Bisconti---------Brian Grant----------------------- Craig Hignett---------------------Eoin Jess-----------------------Stephen Glass ------------------------------------Duncan Shearer--------------------------------- Subs, Peter Kjaer, Scott Severin, Arild Stavrum, Hicham Zerouali, Billy Dodds, Mark Reynolds, Scott Booth Looking forward to seeing some oldies teams and some younger hoors! Have we had any decent left backs in the last 20 years by the way? Link to comment
TwoStars
My fiancé has kindly agreed to let me name the tables at our wedding. This is the theme I'm going for... Would have went for Snelders but he totally ditched us for the Huns. Link to comment

Jigot
I couldn't name a XI but Drew Jarvie, Joe Harper, Martin Buchan, Willie " The Ref" Miller, Alec fae govan McLeish, Arthur Graham, Brian " A guid Stirling man" Grant and last but not least Hector " The Fash " Brockelbank, a player who should have immeasurably more international honours to his fine name that he has and undoubtedly, deserved, thanks to the GFA. He also never went to the Huns I always thought Wright had a better tackle than McKimmie, though McKimmie was more solid and was rarely pushed off a ball. In truth I'd probably start with Simpson in the middle, just by way of having a ball winner who could boss the midfield, but I'm a flair man myself, and that midfield and attack is all about flair. Four solid defenders and six creative geniuses. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
Just to be able to have Snelders in goal with Leighton on the bench (only because of kicking ability), two actual real fullbacks in Kennedy and Robertson, side by side with McLeish and Miller, Weir on the wing, Black in the middle and being able to replace him after his inevitable fouling and bringing on Gilhaus makes me wet! Frankly you could play Young in all the other positions cause he's good to have around the place and still win. Jesus, then there's Jess to be slotted in, Strachan, Heikennin, Simpson, Jesus fuck, got to go... Link to comment
