The dundee dandy
This question has pondered my mind the last hour or so, I think that Hamilton was shite fir atmosphere when I went aswell as Easter road or Killie all three were diore all with shit attendences Link to comment
StandFree1982
Pittodrie is pretty dire. 1 Link to comment
chaos_defrost
Pittodrie's a good atmosphere when the team's playing well, dire when they're not. Haven't been to that many grounds but Parkhead was pretty shit when I was there and that's when they were getting a full house. 1 Link to comment
ebbe
best atmosphere is tynecastle imo. pittodrie is dire, to many horrendous bores. Link to comment
fifered
best atmosphere is tynecastle imo. pittodrie is dire, to many horrendous bores.Disagree about the best. The shed at Tannadice is the best atmosphere in Scotland. Load to choose from as worst due to the small half empty stadiums. Killie about the worst I've been in. Link to comment
At The Border Guy
Every ground is capable of a shit atmosphere. Killie is one of them due to the size of the place relative the attendances. However, judging it based on how the home crowd respond when their team are doing well, I'm going with Parkhead as the shittest place to watch a game. I'm not including Ibrox as I have no intention of ever going there. Link to comment
zander
Depends if your talking positive or negative. Don't think you get a louder stadium in scotland than ours when we have been pumped by a lower league team in the cup or when the refs having a stinker. Link to comment
tup
Caley is the worst'stadium' in the top league, by far. It sums up everything that is wrong with Scottish football, cheap, nasty and yet ridiculously expensive admission wise, that shitheap makes my blood boil. Link to comment
CalgaryDon
Tynecastle and Tannidice are great. Been to a fair few games at easter road and have also experienced a great atmosphere too. Worst has to be kilmarnock. Link to comment
rossafc92
It has to take something special to get Pittodrie rocking. Don't think it's necessarily down to the type of stadium that it is as much as it lacks any particular area to recreate the type of congregation you'd get at an away game. The club are intent on keeping the Merkland as the family stand and nobody wants to be in the Y when it's wet. Whilst sections S and T seem like good options, there's probably too many STs who have been there for long enough that they'd be pissed off if they were told to move. Same story with the RDS lower. Only real option is RDS upper, but the noise wouldn't carry down. It's also not helped by the fact that other clubs have a pitiful away support in terms of coming to Pittodrie. As for other grounds, New Douglas Park is hardly conducive to a good atmosphere between fans, but if we have a big enough support there then it's not so bad. Same with places like St Mirren Park and Inverness. I actually thought Easter Road was one of the worst for atmospheres in recent times. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
The Merkland should be for away fans. I hate that they're in the Soother. Link to comment
the_shrimp
On its day our ground has the best atmosphere. When Hayes goal went in against Celtic to end their run Pittodrie was mental. I agree worst is Inverness. Joke stadium and it's embarrassing coz their home games are always shown on TV. Link to comment
gazelle
The Aberdeen Arena - if it's ever built. Link to comment
Merkie84
I never understand this argument that " you can't have the singing section where there are lots of season ticket holders" Surely those who buy season tickets are our most loyal fans and would welcome a good atmosphere at their fortnightly trips to pittodrie? Tord31
best atmosphere in my opinion is Tynecastle. Folk saying Tannadice are only thinking of when we play imo worst atmosphere is Celtic Park these days - cup being the exception when they closed the top tiers Link to comment
Tyrant
Worst was probably St. Mirren Park. Fuck me that was dreadful. Even worse than Rugby Park. Link to comment
Stoney
Tynie for sure has the best atmosphere in scotland......... Worst..... its hard to see past hibs, never seen such a negative home support as them. I think if their stadium had been empty during the last 3 homes they would still be in the league. Link to comment
Dynamo
Motherwell have a good singing section area. Probs the best in Scotland that little bit. Link to comment

Fucking winds me up most weeks how quickly folk girn and groan. It doesn't help anyway. Link to comment

In previous seasons aye, this season fans have been decent towards the team, Canna mind them being boo'd aff the park that often. Link to comment
