wicker83
Aye but you've got to remember it's not a straight bet that if Aberdeen finish within 24 points of top spot it wins, it depends on other teams and how they finish. ICT are +42, so if they finish within 17 points of us and 42 of Celtic for example (they'd need to be within Motherwell and Uniteds handicap too), they'd win. Anyway fuck this handicap bollocks. £20 on the Dons straight up. Ah, good point. That's not very clear on the website but must be the case if they're offering celtic at 8/1 on scratch. strachanmcgheegoal
I'd ignore their goals 2 & 3. Logan caught pushing forward and unbalanced by withdrawing considine. 3rd goal in particular is all about the through ball. Good willie would shoot 20 with that kind of service. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
I was probably doing my John Travolta impression.Looked mare like Hattie Jacques if I'm honest. Link to comment
minijc
We can win the league. believe. We can't, although if we played half as good as last night every week we'd be clear in second, need other sides to step up and take points off of the filth. Anyways, very proud of last nights performance, absolutely superb and a tad unlucky, Goodwillie was my man of the match he was fucking brilliant, a proper forward, intelligent runs and clever flicks, we've signed a star here, looks much fitter and sharper now too. I also think playing a proper 2 up front with him and Mcginn would see the best out of both and help us out massively. We really need a left back, nothing new there, we all know that but now is the time to spend a little for the good of the team, sign Shinnie we then have the best left hand side in the league without a doubt. Dynamo
So....did Real Sociedad have any ineligible players playing...? Link to comment
dandydonsfan
great performance. Those friggin horns killed the atmosphere though. What's the point in singing/shouting when you get drowned out by a horn.Score a goal? blow the horn.Angry with ref's decision? blow the horn Link to comment

StandFree1982
Jack was / is immense, how he doesn't get the recognition he deserves is baffling. If he doesn't get a scotland call up this season then there is something wrong with Scottish Football. So what i'm saying is - he won't get a call up. 1 Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Minijc Agreed 100%. First time I've seen him and my immediate thought was oops - looks a bit heavy. Fucking cracking shift last night though and showed for the ball each and every time with a great first touch. Was making the runs too but we didn't have a passer capable of picking him out. Now torn on front line. Not sure if Rooney and GW would gel in a two - think it would need a genuine winger to supply Rooney with GW picking up the knock downs which of course we have in Hayes. Selection headache then is if you play McGinn and Pawlett together? Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
MT Well you got one bit right. At 2-1 it was there to be had albeit they had a couple of gears to go up if needed as we saw at the end. It needed a bit of luck and some sustained pressure to give us that luck at that stage of the game. Harsh on Logan and Considine in the circumstances. Their number 10 in the yellow boots was just immense. Ran the game. Link to comment
minijc
I think Rooney and Goodwillie would work, Rooney winning the balls and Goodwillie making the runs in behind, lost count of the amount of great runs he made last night but the ball never went there. Link to comment

What's the point in singing/shouting when you get drowned out by a horn.Score a goal? blow the horn.Angry with ref's decision? blow the horn Your opinion obviously, and you're entitled to it, but I completely disagree. The hooters helped to create an electric atmosphere which for me at least, charged the crowd. They in turn were more willing to sing. The buzz of the hooters was background noise and it didn't stop singing when there was a chant or song go up. Like the Copenhagen match, I thought the hooters created a magic atmosphere and it's surely no coincidence that both the crowd and the players rose to the occasion. One guy next to us was heard to say "how are the players expected to hear each other on the pitch with all these feckin hooters?". Jesus wept!!! Link to comment
reekie_dock
Aye aye I was walking behind you as we walked up to Souther. Was wondering what the Helmet was needed for?? Possibly to avoid getting Bird shit on that stylish Barnet of yours........ G'wan? Did it pick up the handsome cunt standing next to him? Possibly holding his (motorbike) helmet at the time. Tord31
I'm not in the Jack is a £2M player brigade and I'm not in the Jack is a waste of a jersey side either BUT he has done a lot of good work in these six european ties and should be on the verge of the Scotland squad soon in my opinion. Even if he might not be as good as some options we have he is only 22 and we should be looking to develop him now rather than continue playing the same players through their 30s. We can't play all 25 players in a squad at once and we should be getting your Jacks and Armstrongs involved more now (or soon) in my opinion. That is how we will improve players and improve the national game Link to comment
fifered
Jack is a very good footballer with the potential to be fantastic. The stick he gets from some is baffling. 2 Link to comment

StandFree1982
Wonder if we'll get any bids for our players after last night. There must have been a few managers leering in, players like Jack, Logan and Hayes would surely have interested anyone at the game looking to steal players up here for fuck all money. Link to comment
muttonhumper
Nice quote from Sociedad dude. Sociedad boss Jagoba Arrasate said: “It was a different Aberdeen from the first leg. I must praise their players and their fans. That was real football.” 7 Link to comment

Horrendous marking and should not be getting beat in the air in your own box (another example of him bottling out of challenges). He has the technical ability but seriously lacks the physical side. Don Fonte
Just got home now with a stinking hangover. No alcohol allowed on the 9.52 Aberdeen-London train until Newcastle so the journey back to Edinburgh was worse than hoped, could have done with a couple beers. As for the game. Thought we were decent and for a while at 2-1 I was thinking that it might just be possible. Agree with the views on their number 10, total class. I hate the vuvuzelas but at least it's noise of a sort. Didn't think the atmosphere was great in RDL upper. Great day though, half 11 train up road and a great day on the bevvy. Not been out back home for a while. Town was pretty dead after and we ended up at Rox. Left after a while to head to the stri...... I mean back to the hotel. Link to comment

There must have been a few managers leering in, players like Jack, Logan and Hayes would surely have interested anyone at the game looking to steal players up here for fuck all money.David Moyes - for one - was spotted by the t.v. cameras last night, although not there in any official capacity, it shows that the game attracted a lot of general interest in the footballing world. Hopefully we'll not lose a player like Fraser again without getting a good deal and having other promising players we can introduce instead. I am impressed that DM has taken the time to consider the depth as well as the quality of the squad. Its both that we need not one or the other. We now have competition - or a least quality cover - in every position. I'm certain we'll get one or two bids coming in if we continue to do well, so I hope we can keep developing good young players at the club. COYR! Link to comment
minijc
The more I see Jack this season the more I like him and think he'll end up at an EPL side, could easily get £5million for him. Link to comment

fifered
Jack has more ability and experience than both of the lads United sold this summer. Were he to go, which i really hope he doesn't, it should be for significant money. Link to comment
tightbreeks
missed the whole thing because of work, by all accounts we showed what we can do and can take it to so-called bigger teams, no problem. looking at the stats, they had 3 shots and 3 goals. that sucks. fucking celtic have no-reason to whinge about any conspiracy ever again, that's twice now they've been rescued. the jammy bastards. they could be doing a hibs and thinking that they just need to spend a minimum amount, in this case, to win the league and qualifying for the champs league. keep the shareholders happy. let's get tore into every cunt at the start of the season, and with a bit of help from the other clubs, there is no reason we can't go for it. the celtic subs aren't any better than ours, so we can get wired into this league carry on for the first time in a long time. Guest
Haha.... just watching the goals on RedTV. Sorry Dave Mac and Andrew Shinnie, but that was a stonewaller of penalty. Not sure they watched it again, but they will be slightly embarrassed about their slaughtering of the ref for the decision. Link to comment

Robbie Winters
Just watched highlights again.McGinty's play leading up to Reynolds goal was excellent.
