Localfitbafan
Just over 1600 people at Hamilton v Caley. Can't see how that's sustainable for an SPL club Link to comment

minijc
I see St Mirren had 20 shots at goal today 11 on target compared to Motherwells 9 and 4 but suppose that means fuck all when you lose. Link to comment
CalgaryDon
Motherwell will still be up there come the end of the season. I think it'll be really close between us and motherwell this year like last season. Just hope we can pip them this time and finish second. Link to comment

I think it'll be really close between us and motherwell this year like last season. Just hope we can pip them this time and finish second. You honestly think Motherwell will be close to us? I can't see them being anywhere near us. Last season we played six months without Logan or Rooney. We had Vernon and Zola up front. That alone, along with the addition of goodwillie makes us a much better outfit from the start this season. Link to comment
Tord31
Motherwell will be lucky if they have another season of no injuries. They can't really afford McManus, Lasley or Sutton to miss any football, and certainly not at the same time. They have nothing on the bench so presumably nothing in reserve. Dons will have two suspended tomorrow and still likely to have folk like Joe S in the stand a player with 50+ games SPL experience. Link to comment
Tord31
Off the ball just speaking about this exact thing. Motherwell with no one on the bench while Dons have Rooney and Robson sitting on bench. Link to comment
super_al
Motherwell still have a decent team and the ability to dig out result e.g. today. They will be in the top 4 pushing us. Link to comment
Ke1t
We need to sign that left back though. Why aren't we signing a left back? I don't want to see Hayes shoved back into defence or 'wing back' or whatever else they call it... get the guy running at defences. So can we sign a left back, please? Link to comment

I don't want to see Hayes shoved back into defence or 'wing back' or whatever else they call it... get the guy running at defences. So can we sign a left back, please? I remember asking those very same questions of Alex Ferguson fan I was 11 at some charity evening at the Royal Darroch (subsequently exploded) in 1979 (a hink).Quite forcefully as well and being quite annoyed that he couldn't see how badly we needed one. He'd been using Chic McCl;elland in his first season. Then at that time, he was using Doug Considine who I think was really a CB (sound familiar?)Later that season I think he started using John McMaster (midfielder). Then Doug Rougvie (another CB).And maybe Derek Hamilton (he played up front on occasion). Sure Iain Angus (midfielder) also played there. In fact he didnae actually sign a left back until 5 years after taking the Dons job, when he bought Tommy McQueen fae Clyde.Hink he was just trying to prove me wrong. Stubborn cunt. Hope McInnes gets a LB a bit sooner than that... Link to comment
