Throw-Ins!

What really fucks me off about watching Aberdeen, amongst other things, is our throw-ins.

Quite clearly, no effort or thought has gone into them at all. On countless occasions yesterday Logan was standing with the ball looking for someone, anyone, to throw the ball to but there was absolutely fuckin nobody there for it. It has been the same at each of the 5 games i have attended this season.

 

Anyone with half a brain knows that you have to move, last resort is lumping the ball down the line to some big fucker for a flick on, we dont even offer this option. One guy goes in there, stands static and thats it, no moving in or out and clearing space, absolutely fuck all. As a result, we get a throw in, controlling territory and we simply give the ball away to the defender to clobber up the park. It happened on numerous occasions yesterday and, while it might seem trivial on the grand scheme of things, it is costing us possession and momentum.

 

Have they ever considered working on them?

I notice you highlight the right back looking, presumably for the inside right. Pawlett at CM coming across, and Rooney and Goodwillie (on Sociedad showing) knocking their pans in for it from CF, but inside right....who could that be, him with the sullen I don't even want to be here and since we're not in the box why the fuck should I bother look on his face...

the long throw cum cross has kind of gone out of fashion a wee bit.

 

watch the epl and the big teams mostly always do a - gie's it back to me - throw-in coz they have the confidence to get it back and move it on. I think that sometimes we still live in the chuck it down the line, ball goes out, chuck it down the line, ball goes out. until some cunt goes - inside - and then your offski.
