Clydeside_Sheep
My ageing North Face jacket finally gave up the ghost, when the zip came off it. It was looking pretty tatty anyway and generally worn out (think I had it close to 10 yrs!). it didn't even keep out the rain very well anymore. What are you recommendations for a new jacket for this winter (and the very many days when its pissing of rain in Scotland)??? Aberdeen must be one of the few cities which has worse weather than Glasgow, hence my asking I had been looking at some Superdry jackets - any comments? Prob a more expensive brand, as thats kinda "fashion", eh, as opposed to just functionality? Or is it best just to visit Tiso (outdoor store) and see what they have? Thats what I did last time, when I ended up with the North Face jacket. Whatever I buy must be available in masculine colours (i.e. black, navy, DPM-camoflage). Link to comment
Dynamo
The Fjallraven classic looks like a good stroll just south of the Arctic tundra. I'd consider it if I was into that sort of thing. Link to comment
Stoney
Asos got a good sale on them just now. Get on it, I recommend the greenland. Link to comment
daytripping
Aberdeen has way less rainfall than Glasgow, our weather isn't so bad. Barbour if you intend attending the Dingwall meet. Link to comment
boboisared
FjallRaven.Had never heard of this brand until you mentioned it there. Looked it up and they've got some nice jackets there Might need you to email through some links to clothes now... Link to comment
dave_min
My new North Face one served me well today. You can get one too for about $90 (Good value), from a shop by the side of the road somewhere between Austin and San Antonio. There's a cool Cowboy Shop in the same place too, I got myself some (average) boots there. If you do head there can you pick me up a pair of Oakleys- I regret not buying them now but I'd already spent too much when I was there Cheers. Edit: I agree with Bobo above - some quality stuff. Not gonna buy any of it like, but nice none the less. Link to comment

Blootery bugs, You sir are the one that wears a fucking football top with an internet moniker emblazoned on the back of it. I would assume you are not the best guy to comment on what is cool and what is not. CS min, I bought a Bergens wax number in Denmark a few months back its fucking magic and keeps the wet and cold oot. needs to be waxed after purchase but its real easy to do Link to comment

Guest
When I see anyone in Berghaus or North Face, I think boring bastard. Barbour is only good for women. My wife's is class. Men with Barbour are wankers and with the new big fuck off labels, very sad. I would recommend my preferred choices but I wouldn't want to be common. You get what you pay for. Link to comment
