daytripping
Black pudding is the food of the gods, great in a roll with a runny egg on top, just amazing. Tomato sauce would be my favoured accompaniment but I'll easily just let it speak for itself on its own. Link to comment
tup
A cheese and black pudding panini is an immense snack. Link to comment
daytripping
I'm not a great fan of the black pudding found in England, tends to have really big bits of white fat in them, it's a balancing act between not enough fat and too much, I'll go along with the Stornoway being amongst the best. Believe it or not the co-op in Aboyne does amazing fillet steaks and black puddings. Stick that on your BBQ with a bit of freshly caught sea trout... foodcumfest. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
Damn good broken through up through a dressed salad. I've also got a recipe at home to try. Scotch eggs where you mix the black pudding with the sausage meat and grated apple when you're making them. Sounded pretty fine too. Will report back on that ane. On a less serious note do any of you gadgies remember the famous Goodies sketch which seemed to consist of brown overcoated gents (a play on Yorkshiremen I think but I may be getting my goodies and Monty Python mixed up) running round dunting each other with a black pudding? Seemed funny at the time. Link to comment

spamspamspam
Did you apply to the grill directly or did you use some sort of interface? little bit of butter/sunflower oil mix on the grill before putting it on and left it until it was cripsy so it just came straight off with a fish slice. Cut thick and left the skin round it, the crispy bits were really fine and because it was cut thick it stayed moist. Link to comment
tup
I'm going to try that on your recommendation.I'm thinking a scrape of Jerk Paste, aye Jamacian spices nae spunk would really do it wonders. Good man, I usually use a drop of Lea & Perrins. Link to comment
