Tord31
The scapegoats from the Hamilton match will be Considine, Taylor and Rooney. The many hoping for it to be Langfield will be disappointed. Back to the 4-2-3-1 that served us well last season. Langfield Logan Anderson Reynolds Hayes Jack Flood Robson Pawlett McGinn Goodwillie subs: Brown, Taylor, Considine, Low, Smith, Monakana, RooneyPrediction: 2-0 McGinn x 2Crowd: 10,500 Link to comment

Dandyesque
I agree that 3 in midfield just does not work for us with what we have and knew we'd struggle when I saw the line up v Hamilton I think Rooney could work well coming in off the right with Goodwillie up front Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Yup something like that mutton. Logan to hang back to allow Hayes forward, kind of the opposite of what he was asked to do with considine. Might consider shankland for Rooney. Consi for anderson once the game is won. Keep him safe for the cup. Monokana for McGinn the second the cunt looks disinterested. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
I actually think the three in the middle on Friday was to try to protect a defence he knew was dodgy as fuck. He then tried to fit in GW and Rooney as he was scared to change it. Then try and bolt on Hayes somewhere there's a gap. Didn't work. Link to comment
dj_bollocks
Sadly 4-2-3-1 until Cadger comes back… this defence has more holes than a Japanese fuck doll with a puncture… Need the 2 at the back as enforcers, a tedious and frustrating 1-0 will ensue... Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
DJB Who's the three in the 4-2-3-1? Pawlett, McGinn and... Or are you leaving consi in and pushing Hayes forwards almost going 3 -5-1? Link to comment

Or are you leaving consi in and pushing Hayes forwards almost going 3 -5-1? Begrudgingly… If it were possible something like this… But I dunno, Hayes at LB instead ? Much of a muchness really, be nice to see what Monakana's got for an hour + so maybe stick him at LW and Hayes at LB instead… Meh… Motherwell are shit, give the peripheral players a chance in a familiar formation... Brown Logan - Anderson - Reynolds - Hayes Jack - Flood Monakana - Pawlett - McGinn Rooney Link to comment
Redstar
Monakana has looked decent when used...when he signed I thought he would have gone straight onto the first team...hopefully the lad has not fallen foul of the GWT...I'd hate to see the club go thru another Fatty Brown debacle... strachanmcgheegoal
I can only go on the highlights so will defer to the real fans who went on Friday (and don't watch stoke v Swansea apparently) but why in the name of Jehovah are you dropping GW? Link to comment

Looks as though we'll be reverting back to our previous tactic of 4-5-1. I'm happy with that. I genuinely believe the Hamilton result will turn out to be a positive for Aberdeen and the turnig point for us. 2-0 Aberdeen - McGinn and Goodwillie Attendance: 11,500 Link to comment

StandFree1982
Do folk honestly believe Clangfield is going to get dropped? I really can't see it, McInnes is ruthless when it comes to getting rid of deadwood, but with Clangers he's stuck by him. Worryingly. Link to comment

rossafc92
I'd be extremely disappointed if this is the game that we revert to a 4-2-3-1 in, considering how poor Well are at the moment. The time to shift back to the formation that served us so well last season is a week on Wednesday. It's the only shape I can think of that we're comfortable with that will likely halt the pace and pressing of Accies. But Well's defence looks rotten. We should be going for it like in recent games at Pittodrie. Stick to the 4-4-2 and we should be winning this one easily. Langfield (would rather Brown, but that's not going to happen) Logan, Anderson (if fit, hopefully), Reynolds, Hayes McGinn, Flood, Jack, Pawlett Goodwiliie, Rooney Link to comment
Robbie Winters
Saw brief highlights of Well on Spunkscene last night, fuck they looked worse than us. Would love to nail McCalls coffin shut but we will concede a 91st minute howler to draw. 23,555 Link to comment
