Scotland's Future

Scotland voted for to remain subservient. The Scots are going to get what they voted for.

A couple of weeks ago I met a group of Irish folk, through mutual friends, in the pub... I was mocked mercilessly for belonging to a pathetic country who voted against their own freedom and the ability to run their own affairs. There was nothing I could say back. Other than saying that I've never felt so disassociated with my country of birth.

Yeah more than half the country voted no but what a load of patronising shite that is.

Designed purely to wind up everyone (yes & no voters) & grab attention. Journalism at its best.

I understand how the article is written and what its intentions are. The point about moves for Scottish MPs to have less influence or voting power at Westminster is very real though. When this does happen and Scotland regresses like Wales did 30 years ago, the only finger pointing that can happen is right back at ourselves. SOTR's Irish mates are bang on the money.

Aye, cause its great to be Irish?

Have some backbone SOTR min.

The vote was No. But that doesn't stop you being scottish (&indeed British) and proud of it.

There's still history, culture and great people associated with Sco.

Being part of the UK doesn't change that.

You wouldn't see me take that sort of shit from some to be sure to be sure lepricaun Mick's.

Been there, done that. What defence is available? It is embarrassing that all Scots had to do (those who had the vote) was to put a tick in a box, no lives on the line, bloodshed etc and they couldn't even manage that.

Spot on. You think of the sacrifices some countries have been through to have the right to govern themselves and we get the opportunity to achieve it with no blood spilled and we vote against it. Wonder what some countries round the world were thinking when they saw the results of the referendum come through.

Looks like all that was said by the Yes campaign about Scotland having trillions of pounds of oil to last forever was unsurprisingly shite!

Another lie from the SNP that was eaten up by the gullible idiot Yes voters

Why does it look that way?

Because the bbc printed it?

Don't be so naive you fucking lemming

Pretty arrogant article, suggesting that the Scots need to learn their place... which is doing what it's told by the English majority.

No sympathy, though... Scotland had its chance and pissed its knickers.

Scotland isn't a nation, it's a welfare line.

Didn't vote.

it's all very well moaning from the other side of the world.

if you cared for Scotland so much, why leave?
