So......

Anyone who denies Taylor was pish in the first set of games is lying. United at home, Dundee away, Hamilton away all springing to mind as horror games. He's fairly come on though. I doubt Scott Brown will pick the ball out of the net again this season.

Against United in first game he mucked up with pass back, apart from that

he had a decent game.

Once he got used to the Scottish game he has got batter and better.

Long may his progress continue.

to be honest, im still not OVERLY sure of him yet

he's still pretty uncomfortable on the ball, with poor distribution

it might just be his body shape, but he looks awkward as hell and his lack of pace is a concern

Given your love of Jamie that statement gives me comfort.

" So is everybody still hating on Ash Taylor.

Glad I stuck by the lad when clangers was making him look bad.

Some of you should be hanging your head in shame though "

I was fortunate enough to be in Aberdeen and watched the game against United.I thought Taylor was shit.I witnessed a few highlights of Taylor in action soon after and thought he was shit.

If I had been the manager of AFC he'd have been on the bench for a while then out.

Just as well I'm not a footie manager.

Good news, he's signed a new deal through to 2017.

Great piece of business, we'll make a lot of money when he moves south.

Great news. The boy looks like he's a really capable centre half and I'm loving the rate these new deals are getting done at.

Good news!

Seems to know now when to play and when to get rid of the thing. He's admitted himself that he was surprised by the standard in Scotland and it took him a while to adjust. After the 3-0 loss at Hamilton he's proved nearly everyone wrong and hopefully he can keep it up.

Another efficient bit of business by the club, get Goodwillie and Jack singed up now and all will be well!

DONS boss Derek McInnes believes Ash Taylor could earn himself a Scotland call-up – despite having played for Wales as a kid.

The former Tranmere Rovers defender has impressed in his first season at Aberdeen FC and penned a new two-and-a-half-year deal yesterday.
Despite being born in England and playing for Wales as a youngster, Taylor qualifies to play for Scotland through his grandparents.
And McInnes insists he wouldn’t be surprised if national boss Gordon Strachan gave him a call-up.
He said: “I’m sure the Scotland manager is aware of a few players Aberdeen.
“There are a few who could go in and do well for Scotland, but Gordon Strachan has an established squad doing well at the minute.
“He has been very loyal, but there are a few maybe making him think and Ash may well be one of them.
“Ash is a player who is only going to get better and has shown a real level of consistency, so you would need to answer that question elsewhere.”
