He's been doing a series of podcasts where he's been interviewing various footballers (and Kevin Bridges) and these are worth a listen. The Darren Fletcher one appeared to have been "borrowed" by the Glasgow Press and reprinted and as much as I despised Gary Neville he talks a lot of sense in the podcast.

But there is a Kickstarter to help fund the podcasts and as part of it there is to be an event in Aberdeen at the start of next year, Q and A, music, drinks type thing it appears. As he's a Dandy I'm guessing the one in Aberdeen might have a slight Aberdeen lean to the whole thing and should be entertaining.

Definitely, it's a great idea and the podcast has been fantastic, not a poor interview, Gnev and Fletcher ones being the best, also surprised at Kevin Bridges football knowledge. Just listened to the Souness interview (up today) pretty good aswell.

Was pretty surprised by Bridges too, expected him to be a plastic Celtic fan, nae the kinda guy who takes a South American fitba weekend. Fair play to him like.

Over £41k raised from the campaign, some going that really and I look forward to the podcasts that will come from this and the party in Feb which should be great.

The Butcher one is up now, I wasn't going to listen as I don't like the man and I expected him to wank over his career however it's mainly just been stories of stuff he experienced, funny side of things and working under Bobby Robson.

You attending the party mini?

I was there, very enjoyable, great insight in to how he thinks and sees the dons progressing, one guy asked who he would like to s ee replace Dm when the time comes, his answer was excellent, along the lines of "don't go for a name, go for a man with a philosophy that will continue to take the dons forward, creating something that everyone (fans/players) buy in" it was a bit more long winded than that but that's what I can remember, he thinks Celtic have a glass jaw and aren't up for the fight, a few more interesting things too, his views on Florentino Perez are something else too.

Good interview with him on Red Tv just now.

Very passionate about the Dons'.

Seems he was in town for the podcast he does.

Loved his views about Neville, i know that has fuckall to do with the dons but his point about the british mentality is bang on and that's how we as a nation don't produce winning sides, our whole outlook and attitude towards the game and how it's played is flawed.

I look forward to 30 years time lamenting a manager who doesn't play 'the Aberdeen way'.
