minijc
I look forward to 30 years time lamenting a manager who doesn't play 'the Aberdeen way'. Always laugh at Celtic fans when they harp on about managers not being Celtic minded or playing the celtic way, very noncy. Link to comment
RAZOR
Loved his views about Neville, i know that has fuckall to do with the dons but his point about the british mentality is bang on and that's how we as a nation don't produce winning sides, our whole outlook and attitude towards the game and how it's played is flawed. All the plebs saying how great Nevilles analysis on Sky was must be feeling very foolish just. The man clearly knows jack all about the game and is merely quite good at using descriptive words. Looks like it was a long winded manner of saying "I don't know". All the plebs saying how great Nevilles analysis on Sky was must be feeling very foolish just. The man clearly knows jack all about the game and is merely quite good at using descriptive words. His analysis was brilliant, but he's reacting to situations after they have happened. I don't know one person who thought this would translate to being a great top level manager. One thing is for sure though, he'll have forgotten a lot more than you or I have ever learned about the game. Link to comment

Yeah, a few clubs are like that. There's the famous 'West Ham way' which must be going up and down through the leagues. Link to comment

RAZOR
'You see teams go to the Nou Camp and get beat 5,6,7-0. Barca are a good side, well they're a great side. But if I was involved with a team who got beat 7-0 there I wouldn't be able to look my family in the eyes anymore' Gary Neville 15/04/15 :hysterical: What a fucking chocolate!! Link to comment

boboisared
You must have been listening to Nevilles comments when on about Goodwillie. I love that Adam Runey thread Remind me what I said in that thread? I remember stating that Rooney was out of form and hadn't been scoring enough from open play and that I'd be happy to change the striker to see if that makes a difference. I've asked you before what the issue with this was but I'm yet to hear a reply. Rooney wasn't scoring or contributing. Celtic he was played out wide and we used him in the air against the tiny full back and he was brilliant. Big difference. Link to comment

If I was a Valencia fan, I'd be fucking raging giving a guy a job based on his analysis on a Sunday afternoon on the telly But he wasn't given the job based on that, he's highly rated as a coach in the England set up, he's also a very shrewd business man that has lots of stuff going on, the language barrier will be a bit of an issue right now but I'm positive he'll get things going in his favour very soon. Neville could still be a good manager but it was suicide going over to Valencia for his first job Link to comment
RUL
True about that game but having watched Valencia before they have deserved to win a few games they've somehow ended up losing. Decent performance last night. We'll soon know if he's turned the corner as they are away to Granada. On the subject of Hunter's podcasts, I never thought i'd say it but can he shut the fuck up about the dons? What's the point in interviewing someone and bringing it back to yourself? Plus, he makes some very weird sexual noises whilst interviewing Gary McAllister. He fair had to change his approach for Souness who wasn't having any of his strange way of describing a game that involves 22 men and a ball. Link to comment
