2nd Feb SNP shouting from the roof tops that we have "incredible strength" in the renewable sector with Wind providing 146% of the countries needs in January

 

Now move forward 12 days Nicola Sturgeon demands assurances on the security of Scotland's supplies as longannet faces closure

 

So what are we Scottish Government?

 

Self sufficient in wind farms

 

or

 

desperate to ensure our electricity supply

 

Seems they are at last owning up to the stupidity of windfarms that can only pay for themselves with MASSIVE tax breaks, are not recycleable and most importantly need a "normal" power station ready to come onto the grid immediately in case the wind drops (or more commonly is too windy)
