starryfish
Ex Hearts, and Houston Dynamo winger apparently been training with us this week. Think he was a decent enough player but seemed to be very injury prone certainly when at Hearts. Link to comment
Stoney
Quite over rated by could certainly do a job if available. Link to comment
boboisared
If we could get him on a cheapish then I'd be for it. More competition for places can only be a good thing. Link to comment
dave_min
He was shite at the Dynamo. Link to comment
dave_min
What games, so I can use your basis for future arguments also. Did he play shite against LA Galaxy?I watched about 10 minutes of El Texaco. I'm dismissing him as shite based on that. 1 Link to comment
Henry
I watched about 10 minutes of El Texaco. I'm dismissing him as shite based on that. That's ten minutes more than super_al manages before giving us his opinion. 3 Link to comment
Tord31
strange to think he's only 27? certainly showed some ability at Hearts. Additional squad players for the attacking areas would probably be one area to look at in the summer. Link to comment

Sonoftherock
Hey! Calgary don knows his stuff! Calgary doesn't usually have an opinion of his own... he usually just logs in to agree with Super_Al. Link to comment

360
He was better than Hayes in his pomp. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
Remember him as quite a powerful winger but he was injured a lot & had his best days at Hearts prior to his injuries from what I remember. Pawlett was the same (but a bit more light weight) in that he was good but injured all the time & was then written off by a few but Pawlett transformed himself & put his injury curses behind him. At 27 & a very meh type player (but not the good type meh), I doubt we'll sign Driver unless he's cheap as fk & of zero risk. Link to comment
CalgaryDon
My opinion could only be based on his time in Scotland previously – I recall Sportscene raving over a goal he scored (maradona goal) against Falkirk. I actually thought he was a good player although I think we currently possess better players than him in our squad. Does this potentially imply someone is leaving? There is also the distinct possibility he is just training with us and there’s nothing more in it. Starryfish – where did you hear this? Link to comment
Tord31
mcinnes confirmed today that he was training with us Link to comment

fifered
No issue with taking a punt on this lad. He was very very good at hearts when he first broke through. if he could rediscover that type of form he'd be a bargain. Link to comment
MikeyT83
Canna mine fit he was like at Hearts. Was good on FM2012 though ... Link to comment
CalgaryDon
According to some guy on jambos kickback he's signed with us until the end of the season. Source is apparently Aberdeen player. Also Dundee utd are interested in him. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Thought Hearts would have been in for him, so if he's nae good enough for them then he's nae good enough for us. Super_al will probably ken better though. Link to comment

SheepieBaaBaa
If he did sign I'd like to think it more about having depth at the club. Now that there is no debt to service it maybe means that there is an opportunity for more "first team quality" players to be in the squad challenging for places. This is also why I don't subscribe to the "Shinnie must be a replacement for Jack" argument. Maybe there's enough cash and ambition to have a pool of decent players and actually have proper cover for injuries and a player arriving does not now necessarily mean a player is off or out of action. Don't remember much about Driver but if he can convince the management that he is good enough and he is cheap then I'd welcome him. Actually starting to look like decent depth in the squad now, especially if Shaughnessy can show that he can cope as backup at centre and right back. Just examples of the cover and cross over Keeper: Brown and the dodgy one (a new no 1 would be nice to have but Brown with Langfield as no2 is better than most have)RB : Logan, Shaughnessy and Jack at a pushCB Reynolds, Considong, Taylor, DanielsLB Shinnie, ConsiC/DM Jack Shinnie Flood LowAM Pawlett McGinn Hayes Mclean (Driver?)ST Goodie Rooney Shankland Actually looks like an injury in one or even two areas is no longer a disaster and there are options to switch formation. 360
He was very very good at hearts. Agreed, Mr. Gray. Top, top player. Link to comment
Chewie37
He was getting touted for an England call up when he was at Hearts....think he'd be a good signing for us. Link to comment

Scotland tried to get him on the schooling rule but failed initially but then when that was ok'd Scotland failed to cap him.He could still play for either but never will. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Aye, scotland got the rule changed for him. Then it turned out he wasn't good enough for England OR Scotland! Link to comment
