Guest RosemountRed
They are both as bad as each other..Hope Mciness sorts this in the summer... Was Taylor not playing because of plastic pitch, due to his recent knee injury ? Langfield is clearly worse. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Blatant penalty for sure. We have big problems in the goalkeeping department. It was indeed. But aside. How the fuck did you think Clangers wasn't? Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Delighted he did but was also very lucky to get away with jumping a foot forward before the kick was taken. Many a ref would have ordered a retake. And many a penalty taker would have just slotted it down the middle given Brown picked his side so early also Link to comment
buchanskii
Scott Brown should be hung, drawn and quartered for his stupidity today, as well as his errors in our important games this season. Langfield should have been buried alive a few years ago for crimes against goalkeeping. Danny Rogers has to be recalled for the remainder of the season Link to comment
Redstar
The spazy come out at on running atackers like a big clucking chicken has now been employed by both Langfield and Brown...is this Leighton's goalkeeping move of the month? Link to comment

buchanskii
I was all for Brown being more commanding of his area after being blocked on his line by that bampot Griffiths, but to come steaming off his line and dump tackling their player was a bit too much. Link to comment

He should have ran out between Daniels & the ball to stop Slater getting off the strike cos Daniels was never going to by ducking away from him. Boo Broon Link to comment

CalgaryDon
Fantastic win and pleased to see precautions/ rotations made in the team due to the plastic pitch. Was absolutely no need for Brown to give that penalty away - what was he thinking? I would prefer to see Langfeld in goals for Saturdays visit of Dundee Utd. We should make a bid for Craig Slater this summer - looks a promising one. 150-200k may do the trick. Also think Johnston looked good. Link to comment

Preferring Clangers in goal at all is bad enough but to prefer him in goal against Utd is even more idiotic I could see your point if you meant you'd prefer to see Clangers in goal for Utd for Saturdays visit from them. mutant
Agreed about Cammy Smith , he's not good enough for the level we are aiming for , loan him to county or Killie next season , see what happens. If he Dosnt impress - goodbye Link to comment

The Oxford Don
Watched the whole of the second half. Thought we played well in spells and were clearly much the better team. McGinn was excellent I thought, he really buzzed around the front and looked to get on the ball and make things happen as often as possible. Shame it wasn't a bit more convincing, but a good win nonetheless. ...also an honourable shout to Brown for redeeming himself after giving away a farcical penalty. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Like the look of Slater also but he actually reminds me of Nicky Low Perhaps he could be described as "a fit on form Nicky Low type" Link to comment

Sheeptastic
Only saw the highlights but there was a few occasions where we seemed quite fortunate. Reynolds definitely tripped up Magennis when we broke clear for our second goal. Kilmarnock can definitely feel aggrieved by that. The other let off of Flood being brushed off by Obadeyi was woeful. Seemed like Brown had saved the effort but just showed how physically weak Flood actually is. Didn't seem to even want the ball. Brown's moment of madness surely won't happen again so that's a positive but what on earth was he thinking? Incredibly clumsy and Lee Miller (a prolifically intelligent diver) must have thought it was Christmas. Blatant penalty. Just as well Slater totally fluffed it. Sounds like McLean needs to be playing in behind the striker with a bit more freedom to play. That's what he had at St. Mirren and maybe he needs it here to prove himself? Now that we look good for second we can experiment a bit more in the remaining games. He's s tidy player who will come good. I would agree with the sentiments that Smith needs loaned out. Think he's one of the only young lads who hasn't had that yet. A season in the Championship with someone like Falkirk next season would do him a world of good. Just hasn't looked ready and struggles to make an impact in the short doses of football he is given. 1 Link to comment
CalgaryDon
None taken – my reason for Langfield being in goals is simply because of Brown’s last performance against Utd in the cup semi. He had a horrid time that day. Having said that it may make him more determined to put in a great performance. The defence seems a lot more confident with Brown in goals however I actually think Langfield is technically a better goalie. I’m not confident in either of their abilities. I’m also hoping Taylor is given a start ahead of Daniels as he also appears to be bombscare at the back. Team I’d like to see for the Utd game would be: Langfield Logan Taylor Reynolds Consi Flood Robson McLean McGinn Hayes Rooney Link to comment

360
Rooney another goal near the hallowed 30 too. Whilst this is technically true I would have thought that 20 goals would have been the next milestone to aim for. Link to comment

Redstar
There's not much between Brown and Langfield in ability terms...they are both sub-standard...It's the odious damaging personality in the dressing room where the real trouble lies...it's no coincidence that the hun have put a couple of decent performances together since Foster has been dropped...Langfield is a rotten apple who has hopefully played his last for us... 1 Link to comment
