Climate change is indeed a cyclic phenomenon, though no-one is suggesting humans are not at least helping to speed up certain aspects of the current cycle. The point most people are missing is that humans won't be around to feel the brunt of the heated planet part of the cycle. We will long since have been nuked into oblivion - something that will happen if not in our own lifetimes, maybe those of our kids and a dead cert at least in the lives of our grandkids.

Humans have neve been able to avoid conflict - since before they became bipeds. What makes anyone think that now they have the capability to annihilate one another they will suddenly change to a peaceful race?
