The Frustration Of The Mcinnes Era So Far

Recommended Posts

That's not necessarily a new phenomenon though Bob.

I remember in the Alick Smith days we'd go one up after 20 minutes and everyone around you would say game over and be leaving with 20 minutes to go disinterested. At risk of stating the fucking obvious, winning doesn't have to be pretty, but it does have to be winning.

How old do you think I am you cunt?

McInnes is wobbling now big time.

Selections since the Hibs game aren't a sign of a manager that particularly knows what he's doing, nor do his changes during games give any indication that he knows what the fuck to do about it. Dare I say it, very tombola like........

Pressure getting to him and the players, needs to sort it out and sort it out soon.

The team is on a bad run but it's almostl ike some fans seek some kind of perverse enjoyment out of the team losing.

We go again next week. We've been in ALOT worse positions

Agreed - I'd rather not return - not sure where the problem lies - did we think we'd won something by beating Celtic and the rest of the league would just fall into line? Plenty of sides have beaten Celtic once - we are hardly unique - just another in the long list - do the players smply need to get over themselves - does the problem lie with the boss - or is it all simply bad luck and if we close our eyes and wish hard enough we'll start winning again.

Our creative players have been disappointing lately. Mclean, Hayes and McGinn are not doing the simple things right. Our forwards have been indifferent at best since the hearts game with both Rooney and Goodwillie failing to impress. These guys should be given sixty minutes and then be subbed for the likes of Smith, Wright and Ross.

We have also seen some of our defensive players have poor games by their standards. Our centre-backs look out of sorts and seem to be getting in each others way at times. We are making some basic mistakes in defence. In the midfield we lack fight and leadership to pull us through games in adversity. Many of our players look like they still need to be coached through games. They need advised on positional sense, decision-making and given encouragement. Last night we looked like nothing more than eleven premadonnas in a game where County could have scored five or six.

What the manager has to do is recognise then pick his best side. He then should stay loyal to those players. 'Squad rotation' is fanciful given the playing staff at Pittodrie. Parker and Mclaughlin for example have weakened the side and contributed to our downfall. How can they deserve any more first team action?

If there is a problem with morale its about re-instilling the value of hard work over and above everything else so that loyalty to the cause is restored.

COYR.

Agree to a point but miller was beside himself how dodgy Taylor looked last night even doing the simple things. This is the same guy who virtually won those 8 in a row himself - certainly in the top 3 or 4 contributors - and who hasn't been dropped. Sorry, Something's up.

But yes, there also managerial failings such as our very odd intention to start a game in 2nd gear and expect the opposition to do likewise.
