neilgillanders
Do you think safe standing should be brought back to scotland and inparticular Aberdeen football club? Will this then bring in more fans week in week out to the ground? Also will this add a greater atmosphere to the stadium? If so, why? Bamber
Some seem to think that safe standing is the holy grail that will lead us to atmosphere and a great time and will solve all footballs troubles it wont Link to comment
tutankamun
Some seem to think that safe standing is the holy grail that will lead us to atmosphere and a great time and will solve all footballs troubles it wont Section Y is safe standing, it works. Link to comment
sdg111
I used to have a season ticket back row of the south stand. I always found it helped the atmosphere, don't know why but it does. When you go to away games you stand and it's always a better atmosphere. I know booze plays its part but standing does too imo. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
Free booze and safe standing it is then. Link to comment
Westhill Red
Yes, works in Europe fine and bring back the sale of alcohol to fund the safe standing areas... Link to comment
alscotoz
I think when you're young 'safe' standing is fine. When you're older you're looking for more heated seats and petit four. Trust me. Link to comment
The Boofon
Section Y is safe standing, it works.Debatable. Seagull shit is lethal if the hawk isn't there. Link to comment
BWG
What exactly makes it safe standing as opposed to just fucking standing while watching a game of fitba? Sounds like HSE buzzword bingo pish to me. Link to comment
Bamber
Section Y is safe standing, it works. In what way? How does it improve "the experience" Link to comment
Pudgie
I'm in. No point doing it at Pittodrie but for the new stadium it should be implemented. Link to comment

sdg111
So now, because you specifically don't have a season ticket in the bin tck row of the South Stand, the atmosphere is shit? No, but the last few rows of the south you can stand, no problems. Folk sing, loads of banter etc just a good laugh. I'm sitting in mainer tomorrow with my son, and we know there'll be no singing, lots of old folk telling the team how to play and no banter - but it's a good view bar the pillars. I think you can separate atmosphere into the stadium atmosphere and the atmosphere where you sit, and I think it's the latter which makes the whole match experience a better experience.
