Great episode when he went to buy the motor - scooter and had the salesman thinking he'd won the pools.

Strung the bloke along then finished by saying,

I once saw him on TV, in Alf Garnett guise, doing an "An Audience with...." type show with an audience of celebs.

 

The journalist Darcus Howe (whom I like) was in the audience and during the Q&A challenged Garnett about racism.

 

Garnett says: "Whats your name sir?"

 

Darcus Howe: "Darcus Howe"

 

Garnett: "Darcus Pitch more like"
