Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but our ballboys have to be one of the worst around. Sitting on their arse when we are chasing a game or trying to get a goal.

 

Goalkeepers will always time waste but don't give them so much of an opportunity to do so by fetching the ball themselves. Why don't we give each ball boy a ball with them so it can be thrown straight back into play?...

 

A minor detail perhaps but we have to seek any advantage we can.

When we are chasing the game the ball boys should be told to respond quickly. Now you may be of the opinion that this wont make a difference and it wont save sufficient time. However, last week the referee blew the whistle before we could take a set piece at the end of each half and that's two opportunities we had to score and take all three points. So I am all for reminding the ball boys we are chasing the game at half time. Maybe give them all a ball to speed things up.

 

More importantly maybe Derek should remind some of the players we are chasing the game at half time and to show some urgency from the kick off instead of the usual 10-20 minutes from full time.

If i'm being honest, I think we should have a pool of ballboys to challenge each other for a spot at the game. They have to be recruited based on specific attributes also, such as reaction skills, agility, balance and pace. If they have a slack performance such as the Partick game then they are dropped and whoever is waiting in the wings for an opportunity then comes into the fold to prove himself.

 

We can't have passengers anymore. If they are sitting on their foldable stool without a care in the world then sack them. They can do that in the lower leagues.

Yeah but could they keep a ball from Eden Hazzard (spelling) if it came to it. I'm not so sure. Reckon they'd all fold with a wee kick in the guts & the ball would pop out. They would also have to get on the ball in the first place which from what I have witnessed, they would struggle with.
