Aberdeen V Dundee (1 - 0)

Thought we were fairly comfortable throughout.

Thank fuck for RooDawg once again.

Few people around me getting on at Storie but I thought he held his own.

Great opportunity to get rid of Goodwillie and bring someone else in who actually gives a fuck.

Aye, Rooney tucked in one of his 3 glaring opportunities. Both him and Goodwillie were shite. We are crying out for striker.

Enjoyed that game tonight. As ever McInnes refuses to use subs to influence the game. More faith in a tired Hayes and McGinn and a very tired Rooney than he has in Pawlett to come on for the last 5-10 mins.

Taylor played well I thought. Shinnie too.

and the majority of the midfield. When playing as deep lying McLean really gets the chance to show off that he is a fine footballer.

Goodwillie I really like but fuck sake he is absolutely useless.

By McInnes saying he is 'very confident' we'll get a player in before the deadline sounds to me like we might get a couple.

Presuming Quinn moves on I can easily see us bringing in 2 or even 3 players

Think we will bring in a central midfielder to play against Celtic , can't see us going with Storie even though he hasn't done anything wrong I don't think he is ready for that . Rooney can score but he is frustrating to watch , said before he is almost undroppable because he gets those much needed goals but for 80/85 minutes he can be Awfull .

I've a feeling we may pay a similar fee to last year with perhaps Bannigan and Vaulks as possible targets

On top of that I'd be surprised if we allow Quinn to move on without a Hector/Daniels appearing and if its not too much to hope for a random punt also on an attacker on loan

Wasn't a classic, but we were comfortable.

Could and should have been 3 or 4.

Was pleased again to see Storie looking comfortable and Brown looking assured with what he had to deal with.

Wasn't too impressed with Goodwillie. Its just not happening for him.

Hayes, McGinn and Rooney look knackered. I think the 11 days until the Celtic game could well be beneficial. Good to get a rest.

McInnes frustratingly late with his substitutions again.

But 3 points in an entertaining enough game.

Delighted with that result. Starting to build a good record against Dundee at home after years of losing to them.

Not a fan of Brown (although an improvement on Langfield) however from the match report and those commenting on this thread - he played very well tonight. How did Storie do?

I thought Storie was ok. He didn't look out of place , that's for sure.

Were you watching highlights cos where I was sitting in the south it was pretty poor stuff. Not much quality on show at all?

No, I watched the whole game live on TV. First half was decent with chances at both ends and played with a good tempo. The quality dropped off in the second half but I still thought it was reasonably watchable.

Aye aye. Funny how games can look better on TV when you get to see more angles and generally get a better view.

A wins a win though , not a fixture to be happy dropping points in!

Was hoping for a convincing result playing 4-4-2 but not to be..

I was there and it appears you were watching a different game

Goodwillie unlucky with a good effort in the first half. He made it himself and if it had went in could've changed things for him dramatically.

Guy can't catch a break.

Was close with a deflected bullet of a header, and later on had a quality first-time back-heel that would have sent Rooney through on goal, only Rooney didn't control it and the chance was missed.

If it wasn't for bad luck he'd have no luck at all.

Aye , I thought he looked lively when given the chance , just like last week.

I've changed my mind about him a wee bit and would like to see him get a run of games . He could do well.

Rooney did no more than Goodwilie in terms of his general play , got a tap in and therein lies the difference.

Taylor played well I thought.

He is a threat in the opposition box, I'll give him that, but defensively he isn't up to the standard we need if we really do have ambitions to challenge Celtic.

Can think of at least three times tonight when a Taylor error probably should have led to a Dundee goal.

Was the one on the right hand side when Nicky Low done him, then cut back for Harkins who was inches away from connecting.

Then shortly after he left Kane Hemmings unmarked to get a free shot at goal. Brown saved his arse with a good save before, to be fair, Taylor did block the rebound.

Third one was when he didn't bother his arse jumping for a header, letting the ball fall behind him to Low, and this time Shay Logan saved his arse then turned and gave him an earful.
