dazzy_deff
He was an Aberdeen fan. That's pretty fucking obvious. The Cammy Smith thing was a joke as was the murdered boy from Cults. This however seems like a genuinely nice touch. Not sure why folk get so bent out of shape for something that's obviously just meant as a nice sentiment. Maybe best not to comment about it then. Makes you look a little crass. Cammy Smith I can understand the venting of disappointment in it as it was a complete joke from the outset. This one just seems like a nice touch. Not the end of the world let's face it and at least there will be at least one minute of applause during the game. Here's for a right old doing of St Johnstone rather than concentrating on a small tribute to a fan.I'm entitled to my opinion and don't really care if i look crass. If you were to have a minutes applause for every Aberdeen fan that died you'd be having one 3 or 4 times a game. Leave it separate from the football. I was equally vocal about the Cammy Smith one so at least I show consistency. If anyone suggests ever having a minutes applause at Pittodrie when I died I'd haunt the fucker forever. 1 Link to comment

a don in oz
When I die I want the crowd to drop their drawers and knock one out in the 69th minute. Anything less than that would be disrespectful to me. To this bloke that died, that's terrible for his family and friends and for the rest of us... what the fuck? Sorry if those friends and family are here but I'm in the camp that it's all getting a bit silly now. My Dad died last year and enjoyed going to games with me, should I have been on here asking people to have a wee greet for him at the game? 1 Link to comment
Kissle_1990
Don't particularly agree with the minutes applause for fans who have sadly passed away. I don't even agree with doing it for players past and present either to be honest. I think its something that should be for those who have contributed a significant amount to the club. How you weigh up a significant amount is another matter. 1 Link to comment

Teb0wing
Might happen especially during the winter months and if games get delayed it will create a backlog of applauses. Link to comment
Clydeside_Sheep
Shame he's died regardless but dying shouldn't mean everyone has to sook up. I wasnt promoting sooking up, I was just suggesting maybe not criticise the guy on hearing of his death. If you told someone a friend or relative had died, you would expect a bit of empathy, not "oh him? he was a fanny"! 2 Link to comment
Clydeside_Sheep
I expect rapturous applause when I die then. We will hum the theme tune to "The Animals of Farthing Wood" instead Link to comment

muttonhumper
So is this going to happen every time an Aberdeen fan bites the dust? It's Cammy Smith all over again. Was he also a Man Utd fan? I expect rapturous applause when I die then. This is turning into a farce. Like KSL says, we gonna do it for every fan? Not for me, and I certainly wont be partaking. When I die I want the crowd to drop their drawers and knock one out in the 69th minute. Anything less than that would be disrespectful to me. All correct. All +1 These applauses are utterly pointless, cringeworthy, and completely faux grief fests.A fucking crass embarrassment imported from the fake EPL, where every game I have the misfortune to stumble across, seems to have one. Folk die. This shit happens. To every cunt. I'd be spinning in my fucking grave like a propeller if any friends/family of mine tried to line up such a fucking charade for myself. The sheer embarrassment, and the intensity of the beamer produced therein, would set the coffin ablaze instantaneously. What makes this guy any more important to any other Aberdeen fan who has died. My mate who I had a season ticket with as a kid was killed a couple of years ago - didnt see him getting a minutes applause, and rightly so. come on min.You tell me what i've said that was wrong. Just cos you knew him doesnt mean he deserves a minutes applause. Link to comment

Reed or deed
If someone wants to ask for a poignant tribute to a mate from their fellow dons fans , where's the problem with that? Any cunt who has a problem with it , enjoy your moan. It will happen anyway. Can i get a minutes applause in the fourth minute for coming in late? Link to comment

If I have an Aberdeen supporting mate that passes away, my tribute will be personal, with like minded folk who equally share my sadness on his passing. Nae trying to get 10,000 randoms to clap in their honour. People tackle grief in different ways, who am I to criticise. Link to comment
