It is irreverent and darkly humorous. I don't think it is at all pretentious. If anything his commentary is a satire of all that is pretentious.

Meades has written a few documentaries and books about similar subjects. Museums Without Walls has been on my Amazon wishlist for some time but I haven't got round to purchasing it yet. He should be on TV much more.

It's brilliant, especially the bit about Trump. How come Meades was able to tell that Trump was a crook but Salmond couldn't?
