thedandydon
Gets underway this week. Tough to pick a winner this year although you'd expect the likes of Day, Scott, McIlroy, Johnson to be in the mix. Hard to ignore Bubba too given his recent exploits around Augusta, although its rare for defending champions to retain the green jacket.Quite a few Brits heading into it on the back of some decent form like Danny Willett, Chris Wood & Andy Sullivan but might be a stretch to say they could win it. Only 2 Scots in the field and one of those is Sandy who tends to surprise us by making the cut before having a Daly-esque arse collapse for the final 36. Knox I doubt will feature.Personally I hope the amusingly named Smylie Kaufman has a run at it. Link to comment
minijc
Can't trust in Dustin, gets himself in to great positions then his arse goes, mainly down to now having the right people around him to keep his mind on the job and help him when struggling, probably a good bet for first round leader though. Nowhere near worth it I imagine. I'll have a look down the odds later today. Never really pick a winner for the majors especially not one of the favourites. Will go for a couple of good value e/w's. Freddie Couples to make the cut is always a good bet. Link to comment

thedandydon
There's a few guys who tend to do alright around Augusta at long odds this year. The likes of Sergio (60-1), Westwood (175-1), Mahan (200-1), Cabrera (250-1) & Els (275-1) might be worth a wee e/w.Will likely pick a couple from the top end a few long shots, will have a proper look later. minijc
Couldn't back Sergio with stolen money, he doesn't have the minerals to win it. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
Day and Johnson, final group sunday. Johnson's arse to go about the 14th. McIlroy 2nd last group with some yank out of nowhere. Both to beat Johnson but fail to catch Day. agree with this comment above. "Bubba, Rory, Rickie, Day and Adam Scott to get top 10 finishes" You won't get high odds on any of the above but I bet I'm not a kick in the erse off it come midnight Sunday. Apart from that you're left with Hazel Irvine and the annual sweep - just how many premiership footballers? Link to comment

All the guys I backed didn't come close, although I did stick a quid e/w on Smylie (300-1) who provided a glimmer of hope until the pressure told.Unbelieveable hole-in-one by Oosthuizen going in off his playing partners ball.Fair play to Danny though, didn't put a foot wrong whilst Spieth chucked it round Amen Corner. elephantstone78
Congratulations to Englishman Danny Willet for winning the competition. Thought the back 9 would b boring with Spieth being so many ahead but his collapse on the 12th made for an entertaining last hour or so. Knew Westwood would blow it just as it looked like he may have a chance missed a short one on 16th after Willet birdied. Dandy don wasn't bad with his predictions. The anti son of the rock. As for the golf, Willett played some flawless golf on sunday to keep himself in with a shout for when Spieths luck ran out, wouldn't say his first shot on the 12th was a bottle job as he'd struggle with it the days before but the next two were definitely shots of a player that had lost his bottle, he done well to hang in though.
