£300k difference if we fuck it up and end up 3rd though

£500k+ difference in budgets between us & Hearts depending where we finish for next season.

Depending on how results go this weekend it makes our game against them very much a "6 pointer"

That kind of cash is a decent players wages for a couple of seasons.

Win against Motherwell on Saturday and that's us got 2nd, Hearts aren't going to win the last four games.

£2M + a good European campaign would do very nicely.

Shame we're shafted by the seedings and have to play 8 games before we even get a whiff of the actual Europa League.

Really need to try and improve on the last two season's performances in Europe and really aim for the groups. Would be a huge achievement for us and earn us millions.

I might be wrong, but I don't think the club made an awful lot out of Europa last year. We had costly trips to far flung places on charter flights, no real tv revenue to speak of, yes we sold good tickets for home matches, but a lot of that was cancelled out by the likes of the £200k+ we had to spend just to get the guys to Kazahkstan.

If we could draw some teams that are easier to get to and more likely to have good tv appeal that'd be a big help.

True. Chances are we won't be heading off to Kazahkstan this year though, so that should help.

It would be good if we got a Northern Irish side this time around.

Hopefully a Welsh or Irish team.

group stages would give us more money than an SPFL 1st place

£2million plus 3 full houses in the groups I believe (+ money for each win or draw)

We got about 650k Euros for our 3rd qualifier ( about £500k)

I think what we got from uefa covered the cost of the charter flight.

It's so hard to reach the group stages but that has to be the target next season.

Not as big a difference as I thought, wonder what the 'new improved' TVs deal will be worth?

When does the new deal kick in?

I assume it will improve if Hibs and Rangers both get promoted. 4 x Glasgow derbies plus 3/4 x Edinburgh derbies.

Just shows how much of a sham the Eufa competitiions are, they are designed to suck all the money out of TV deals that could otherwise be spread around and funnel it all into the favoured european clubs from the favoured european countries.

What a joke.

We'd probably all be better of if Eufa competitions were all cancelled and TV companies had to pay a decent penny to show the domestic leagues around Europe but instead TV companies pay Eufa and they give 99% of it to their chosen few clubs and fck the rest of Europe.

Should be more anyway but as usual Scotland gets ripped off by English TV companies.

Countries much smaller than Scotland have TV deals worth 4 times ours

Someone will probably post England is bigger and not the same but we pay the same tv licence/subscriptions as viewers in England

Is this another name for UEFA or Europa or is this a new even lower level European comp?

BBC Scotland, unless I'm very much mistaken, is a Scottish TV company so not sure why you're referencing an English TV company and TV licence in the same point.

Name two of these countries.
