Dynamo
I'd say Considine is better actually. Can anyone see O'Connor working up and down any of the wings? Link to comment

True_Don
He's a utility player that doesn't command any position with particular authority. We need better for a starting 11. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
DYACome on min. Surely Considine offers more than O'Connor. Time to take the O'Connor blinkers off. Link to comment
Jimmy Grimble
Come on min. Surely Considine offers more than O'Connor. Time to take the O'Connor blinkers off. NO they are both utterly crap as is Tansey. None of thgose 3 should be anywhere near a first 11, if even the bench. Until we ditch those 3 and get in a couple central midfielders and move shinnie back to his proper position then we are in for a rough ride. What perplexes me is that for most of this season the better teams we have faced have identified our weak link in that we have one of the slowest players on record who continually ball watches and is attracted to the ball playing full back and they expose it time after time yet he plays every week without fail. Des plays centre half at the expense of a guy who's going to the world cup with his country, absolute madness. 1 Link to comment
BWG
Cheap utility player is the perfect way to describe him. Link to comment

Craig Storie would have done a better job than O'Connor and Tansey in central midfield so far. I'd even go as far as to say that Cammie Smith or Peter Pawlett could have done a better job but that's by the by now. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Cheap utility player is the perfect way to describe him.Im certain this is what he was supposed to be. Cover for CB, DM and I suspect if needed RB. In a way its down to the whiteness of our other centre halves and midfielders that hes played so many games. So who is the problem, the cheap cover or the players he finds himself ahead of? Thinking Reynolds, Considine, Tansey even Ball here. Link to comment

AOC looks pretty white himself, but could possibly play the gypsy card. I do agree that we need some brothers at the back. Link to comment

Thinking Reynolds, Considine, Tansey even Ball here. If he was only signed for cover then I'd say that defence-wise Reynolds and Considine are the problem for letting their standards drop and midfield-wise the manager is responsible as he brought Tansey and Ball in after O'Connor. But ultimately the manager is responsible for not adequately replacing the centre back and central midfielder who left in the summer. Link to comment
waldo5
Surely Mbayo is better than AoC? It can't be too far fetched to imagine given how poor O'Con is. Ollie, Graham, CockneyDon? Link to comment

Chewie37
We arent chewie - so if you wouldn't mind shutting the fuck up son. Haha faaaaackoffffffyoooocaaaaant!!! Is he though Chewie? I think on balance that Ash Taylor gave us more, especially in the air at both ends of the park. We look weak defending corners and crosses in the air and we are much less of a threat now attacking at corners.Yes, he was prone to errors on the ground but so is O'Connor. No, Taylor was utter guff, Des is just a bit guff Link to comment
BWG
Boy gives me the fucking fear any time he's on the ball now. Not even nearly good enough for Aberdeen. Why McInnes wants to offer him a new deal as well. Surely to fuck there's better options available even if it is just for a cheap utility jersey filler type of guy. Link to comment

Got to improve on him if we want to keep progressing. That was more down to the keeper coming out when he shouldn't have though. O'Conner had that under control, there was no need for Woodman to come out. O'Conner probably should have looked up, but i suspect he's got an understanding with Lewis that he'd have been there. He kept Woodman busy though with a mishit from a corner and that passback. Link to comment

He wouldn't pass to anyone else on the pitch without looking first, so why the keeper? Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Have really never been a fan of O'Conner at all. Hopefully he's away at the end of the season and out the team when Devlin is fit Link to comment
Sheepo
very poor defender who seems to have no defensive awareness and he also has the Ash Taylor mindset with ball at feet Link to comment
old sheep
We get away with him playing CB against the dross but he is totally out of his depth against the better sides. Much the same as Taylor except he can't head the ball either. Arnason has big game experience and should play ahead of O'connor in these games. The fact that he doesn't is the mystery. 2 Link to comment

old sheep
Agree Arnie should play before him, but lets be honest here, he's been shite as well. Agree he's had some dodgy moments but the bottom line is that he is a better player. If McInnes would stop chopping and changing the CB pairing, he might actually find that a good one starts to develop. I watched O'connor closely yesterday and it was McKenna who was doing all the organising /talking. O'connor is symptomatic of why we fall short in big games as he shirks responsibility and hides when we are up against it. Added to that he is a shit football player. Link to comment

Problem for me is we have too many jersey fillers in this area of the park: Considine, Reynolds, O'Connor Which of course means that at any one time 2 of these guys are likely to be playing. We are short a quality LB/DM and maybe CB - get 1 or 2 of those in and suddenly Considine and O'Connor/Reynolds are on the bench as cover which is fine. Link to comment
jamiesd
Both Arnie and O'Connor are average at best. Don't even know why Arnie came back he was bang average first time round in my opinion 1 Link to comment
Doncomitant
Which defensive partnership has brought the most clean sheets for us this season? My guess would be Arnason & McKenna but maybe a stato can surprise us? Link to comment
