Roy Keane.

Would sort out our midfield for one thing. Wouldn't see Jack and McLean wimping out of challenges.

Knows a player and certainly seems to rate Aberdeen. It's his spying trips to Scotland that has seen Hayes and Rooney called into the Ireland squad. Was also him that signed Russell Anderson for Sunderland. He's rated these guys when others didn't (Anderson could barely get a sniff at Scotland level).

Patchy management career (tho did take Sunderland from bottom of championship to premier league) but those jobs were too soon for him. Now he's been assistant for a bit he'd be a better prospect. Aberdeen wouldn't need anywhere near as much work as Ipswich and Sunderland did.

Far better option than Paul fucking Hartley anyway. He's more deserving of the sack from Dundee than McInnes is at Aberdeen ffs.

Roy Keane? He could start a fight in an empty house.

He'd be in and out like a fiddlers elbow and make Aberdeen a circus during his stay.

Aberdeen's situation is very similar to Scotland, it is a big world out their, just because Ebbe and Berti were disasters doesn't mean that we should never try the route again.

We keep on going round in circles by appointing tried and tested UK and Irish managers here in Scotland and we wonder why nothing changes.

It's almost like your suggesting that mcinnes has in some way been a failure at Aberdeen?

McInnes has not been a failure however he has been very fortunate.

He was fortunate that he had a good squad of players when he arrived, he had the weakest opposition (Celtic being the exception) in living memory and he managed to enhance the good squad with great additions (Robson, Flood and Rooney)

He has been lacking in developing the youth, his tactics are one dimensional and his signing policy seems a bit bizarre at times.

He has brought credibility back to the club but I'm concerned that he has now taken us as far as he can.

He has not been a failure as he took us up from a very low position maybe others could have done the same who knows but it was him that did it so respect there

He won a cup as well but we were a tad fortunate in a few of the games including the final which as we all know went to the lottery of penalties but again he was manager when we won so credit for that

But you could look at it another way for example st johnstone won the Scottish cup which is a better trophy than the league cup so that in some peoples eyes might make their manager better

Yet if he is mentioned as next manager of dons their are posts of he is shite yet the sane posters are saying McInnes is good because he won the league cup

Its the constant dropping of our best players that is losing us points and that is down to the manager and last time i looked we dont have the players for squad rotation
