Agree with both although its not necessarily that its against them per se more the shere theatre of the moment/timing/impact etc (to which they made their contribution obviously).

Lewis has been outstanding but we were so fucking awful in that position previously that id argue he's not necessarily been our best player of the year. Close right enough.

 

I think Hayes, shinnie and Considine are equally in the running with Lewis.

McGinn goal, free kicks aren't as good as a goal in open play. Christies goal was good too, but I'm not voting for loanees

Its hard to single out one player as several have been excellent this season. Shinnie, Lewis, Considine, McGinn, Hayes & Logan have all been very consistent. McLean has actually been our best player in the second half of the season but was very inconsistent up until December which rules him out. If pushed I'd say Shinnie as he's such an important player for us and rarely has a bad game.

a lot of contenders for player of season so will hold off for now. Lewis, Considine, Logan, Shinnie, Jack, McLean and Hayes all had very good seasons.

Yes but Lewis' contribution isn't seen solely in his own play. Rather, it's the comfort factor in defence, their confidence in passing it back to him and the fact that for the first time in years the opposition know there's no point firing aimless high balls onto our 6 yard line.
