Lencarl
Are our clubs are missing a trick by not setting up pre-match zones with bars, burger joints, big screens and lots of atmosphere. Reading about these pre-match fan zones why do clubs in Scotland not give this a try. It could generate income for the clubs as well as bringing more younger people to the games. Aberdeen should go for it Link to comment
RUL
Do they do it in cold countries where it's always raining and freezing? Link to comment
BWG
Summer football + beer is the way forward. A pint would've been smashing in a sun drenched Tynecastle yesterday. Link to comment
RUL
Indeed but would anyone be bothered in November when it's pouring rain and freezing? Link to comment
OddJob
Agreed that they would be good. You only need to look at outside Murrayfield how packed it is pre and post game to see it can be a success. However as RUL said it would be pointless to many in colder months, but also would it get the approval fromPolice etc I have my doubts Link to comment
dave_min
Who needs a fanzine when we already have the foundry? Link to comment
Pudgie
Surely a massive gazebo outside the dick end with halogen heaters wouldn't be overly fanciful? Round/square bar in the middle that can be wheeled in and out and you're done! Link to comment

Dynamo
This. Always thought that area to the rear of the RDS would be absolutely perfect for something like this. It would be. And folk don't seem put off by the cold and dark etc when it's the Christmas markets. Club should pick a handful of Saturday 3 Oclock's next season to trial it at. Link to comment
Chewie37
It should be tried out with the pre-season matches and definitely the Euro matches, go a bit continental for those games would generate some interest Link to comment
mcdougall(4)
is this not a part of the new stadium plan Link to comment
manboobs109
I'd still go to the boozer. Fanzones sound grim. Link to comment

DelMonte
Fanzones at Schalke were pretty good. The idiots would ruin it here unfortunately. Should trial it though but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Link to comment
beer gut
Fanzones wont work in Scotland until the government and police stop treating all fans like they are all scum out looking for trouble. The police here won't allow fanzones. They don't like fans congregating in areas. They want you into the ground as quickly as possible and they want you away from the ground even quicker.
