I particularly enjoyed his "people in Scotland have a particularly miopic view when it comes to Scottish football and we have got to broaden our horizons. There more than two clubs in this country".

Might not be word for word but it was along those lines. Bravo sir.

I had a long drive up the road the day we played at Murrayfield so listened to BBC Scotland all afternoon. Michael Stewart was brilliant. He saw things about AFC I’d never seen despite me seeing them many more times that he has. He’s an intelligent and articulate analyst and an acute observer.

He was slating McInnes for not changing things during that game. What was obvious to Stewart, McInnes was oblivious to.

He’s an impartial journalist doing his job. All he does is highlight how biased and downright idiotic his colleagues are by being fair and articulate. Fair play to him though for remaining honest in the face of overwhelming provocation and favouritism.

He's the best pundit in Scotland by a long way. Seems to mostly just say it as he sees it without any bias.

Only slight criticism I'd have is that he does seem to go slightly OTT when it comes to Levein and Hearts. He's very critical of Levein and was of Locke too when he was manager there in very difficult circumstances. Things didn't end well for him at all at Hearts and they were the club he supported growing up. Maybe he's slightly bitter towards them?

On the whole though he's a refreshing change from all the old firm knuckle draggers in the media that we've had to listen to for years.

They'll probably do a job on him now for this.

He is too astute and would make a mockery of anyone who challenged him. I listened to last nights sportsound this morning and all you heard from fat boyd was white noise, shouty and just spoke the biggest load a muck ever. Mikey speaks well and fair. A clever lad tbh and fatty is just a village idiot.
