maryhilldon
Dig down into the ground a few meters - simpleYep, loads of grounds have sunken pitches. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Dig down is fair enough but bound to increase costs. It's actually a bit ridiculous there's a height restriction that low- how the fuck are we supposed to be a decent stadium with restrictions like that? It's not like they are planning something the size of Celtic Park, Ibrox, Hampden, Murrayfield etc. Link to comment

RUL
According to a girl who was at the meeting... Safe standing costs three times as much as normal seating does, which means to incorporate it they may have to cut capacity. They also think this will help stadium be full more often. Cormack asked those at meeting whether they would prefer 17,000 - 18,000 capacity but with standing, or 20,000 without. They all voted for the smaller capacity. Can't make the stadium higher due to height restrictions imposed on them, which also means they can't make it very steep. Considering making the supporters bar the length of the north stand. Been impressed by what they saw at Tottenham. Access by membership or extra on ticket price. Also considering indoor fanzone. The supporters bar being length of the stand is a must I think. I don't see why we should have to pay to get in though. Link to comment

That's mental to suggest you'd need to pay to get into the pub pre match. Fuck that. Few pints in the Westhill Arms or whatever pub is there instead. Huge loss of revenue charging people to get in and losing sales. Link to comment

Best solution might be to have 2 bars. One for people who are happy to pay for entrance/membership in order to get a pint and another for those that are happy to take their changes. And fuck the marquee, the club should buy one of those so called temporary buildings that they use at the beer festivals in Germany. Link to comment

No idea - may be issues with the pipeline. The pitch at the stadium of light in Sunderland is well below ground level Link to comment

King Street Loon
Couldn't find another suitable thread for this but got it forwarded to me from someone in the office. Some of you others may have heard the same rumours?? Apparently after the training ground announcement and opening it will be announced that Stewart is standing down and HE is taking over as chairman a but if a wobble as he said if he didn’t get the chairmanship he was taking away his money .... Apparently three or four other board members going to .... skinner / buchan and jack ... I’m told but no confirmation that the places will be filled by Americans .... Heard that Duncan and Derek will be told they are on a shoggly peg apperantly Duncan already put out feelers for ‘other’ jobs and is trying hard for an sfa position ... Derek won’t stay long as he won’t have the free range or position that Stewart have him he will be confined to TEAM matters only future transfers and stuff like that goes to the board Derek only responsible to suggest who he would want ??? So DM certainly won’t like that but he has the security of a 2 year contract.... Anna has already gone and is working on garden leave... I’m thinking that Tom might get the CEO position if They get rid of Duncan ... Rod is Cormack’s inside yes man ..... Lots of changes ahead ..... All of the above could be bull, but no smoke without fire... Link to comment
