Does anyone know what AFC mean by a UEFA top 100 club?

Is this based on revenue, average attendance, coefficient or what?

The AberDNA thing states:

"As we seek to build on the progress made in the past five years and move towards being a UEFA Top 100 Club in time for the move to the new stadium, it is vital that we continue to compete at the top end of the table and qualify for Europe each season."

Our average attendance this season is 15,400 (possibly top 100?)

Our revenue is roughly £14m (possibly top 100?)

Our coefficient is down at about 240th is Europe (nowhere near top 100)

they mean the coefficient

top 100 club probably as a half rule of thumb is gonna mean in europa group stages 2 or 3 times out of 5

Once would be fantastic.

I think between the EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A, there are 98 teams.

This doesnt include dutch, belgian or english championship sides.

I humbly suggest its very wishful thinking that we could be a top 100 side by any metric, at this point in time.

Hibs have had more total home attendances this season than half of La Liga, Serie A and Lique 1.

We're ranked 236 at the moment...I assume the theory is better stadium will lead to bigger crowds therefore more money and better players....as they aren't going to move us up unless we win more European games as this is what UEFA appear to measure the rankings on.

Why are there teams with a higher coefficient ranked lower than teams with a lower coefficient?

We're sitting there in 236th on 4.000 total points from the last 5 seasons. Zawisza Bydgoszcz are sitting in 235 with 0.500 points.

Because it's in order of effective club coefficient and your club coefficient cannot be less than 20% of the clubs association coefficient. Without their nations contribution they would be on 0.500 but since they are in Poland they take 20% of Poland's coefficient which is 4.025 - larger than Aberdeen's 4.000

Coefficient calculation
Clubs' coefficients are determined EITHER the sum of all points won in the previous five years OR the association coefficient over the same period, WHICHEVER IS THE HIGHER (under a new system introduced for 2018/19 onwards).

if the new scoring system (2 pts for 3rd round exit) rather than the old system (1pt) we would be some where around 140th with 8pts

Hibs (old 1.0 new 3.725) Rangers (old 0.25 new 3.725) and motherwell (old 1.5 new 3.725) all gain

Which is the fatal flaw in the whole system. A bogus list to protect clubs from big countries.

There should be no place for country points in a club ranking system.

Not sure how it all works exactly, but since appointing Gerrard, Rangers have now risen to No. 1 in the list.

Caught a glimpse of a club pamphlet today and one of the criteria was a minimum of £20m/year turnover. There was other stuff mentioned but I couldn't be arsed reading it.

Ambitious.
