Edwin Starr
Bought my Levi jeans today with the help from my 70s style mate. Went to the whitehorse bar to drop off loads of biscuits and various breads . The manageress was very thankful . She told me there was a gentleman who came in sat all day sipping a pint that's why they felt it was time to do something about it. They are very busy with people coming in for a heat and coffees . They have a .mixture of people attending one with special needs and loads of the older generation. Heartbreaking stuff 💔 😢 What kind of country are we living in to allow this to happen? If anyone on here has a bit extra money 💰 please pop in with some stuff to help out. 11 Link to comment

Think you are missing the point we have no control of our energy which we have much more than we would need . Even the CEO of one of the energy companies said Scotland doesn't benefit from it's renewables, he said we could even get it for free or at least much less . If that was the case these people wouldn't be in a bar for a heat and something to eat. That's what I find hard to accept. 2 Link to comment

No doubt about it that the ridiculous energy costs play a factor here but even if energy was free we would still need food banks. What are the SNP doing to eradicate food banks? Surely out of their billions of anual budget they should be able to find money to eradicate food banks? Link to comment

Well the SNP can't put the prices of food down at the supermarkets Which have gone up way over 40% to sometimes double the price . But if we could put the energy prices down maybe more people could afford to buy enough food . Lessening the need for food banks. In England their energy prices are a good bit cheaper and it's not so cold. Which means they can afford to buy more food to help them get by.. Link to comment

You may as well say inventions in England came about because we "were" part of Europe. 1 Link to comment
