slippers
New stadium 16,000-17,000 and could be the first ever Net zero carbon emmisons stadium. Nothing much gave away about Hernandez will basically see how it pans out… About the highlight. Link to comment

RUL
Think it means the match day experience will be better as there will be fuller feel to the match day. If you look at our crowds this season it's still double our average. Link to comment

It does seem small but highlights that additional 3-4K seats could cost the club 10m plus. Link to comment

RED_JOHN
We must be the most carefree fans in the country. Buying season tickets then not appearing. Next they will be telling us we are paying for a pie and a drink but only consuming the liquid. Link to comment

RED_JOHN
I wouldn’t imagine there was a percentage figure spoken about at the agm regarding the people who are scared to appear at Pittodrie. 8 minutes ago, Betty Swallicks said: @millermong ? 1 Link to comment

Unless of course it's bollocks. I’ve got a couple of STs. I’m in the lucky position I can do that. I only go a handful of times a season. It’s a bit of a trek, although some do make that trek regularly every home game. I bought them in response to the lecturing from some in the game about Armageddon when the club formerly known as Rangers went into liquidation. I just thought ‘fuck em. it’s handy for being quite high up the queue when it comes to higher demand away / neutral games. but I’m lucky I can do that, I accept that. It’s a donation if you like. I’m surprised there’s 30% though. 2 Link to comment

Sheepo
Season ticket holders can also watch home games on Red Tv this season so may be another reason for no show Link to comment

Byrne Baby Byrne
What’s pittodrie capacity? 22,500? It’s certainly too big for us. RDS was a ridiculous decision. but 16,17 seems very small. Killie will have a bigger ground than us Link to comment
Tommy
No issues with a 17k capacity. Pointless spending millions more to reach 20k when it’s rarely achieved. Link to comment
huncunts
More concerned that a stadium as part of a leisure complex that’s constrained in shape and size will most likely be shite and nothing like we really want. Link to comment

Probably makes better business sense to reduce, albeit I’d hope they had the option to add if ever required Link to comment

RED_JOHN
Did they mention an actual year for the new stadium or are they just trying to bluff their way through the agm like normal? Pittodrie will need to fall to the ground before they put the first brick down on wherever the supposed site is meant to be. Link to comment
BonnieDon
Yeah Im not overly thrilled by the capacity drop. I understand the logic behind it however I do believe if we were to build a stadium (of any capacity) we'd see an increase in average attendance. Pittodrie isn't the most appealing stadium to attend so any alternative will attract more fans. Any successful Aberdeen side in a shiny new stadium will have 15k plus average attendances. My personal feeling is we should be looking to build a 20k stadium and if not, there certainly needs to be the option of a capacity increase in the future. Dundee are currently looking to build a bigger stadium than ourselves. 1 Link to comment

Mainly due to work commitments. But I know some who sometimes haven’t gone because of the anticipated lack of excitement at the game. I know also that my brother’s employers have a few season tickets that are left for some of their employees and guests to use , but quite often they aren’t always fully taken up. I can well imagine there are other similar examples. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of anyone choosing not to use their season ticket because of COVID concerns Link to comment
