New stadium 16,000-17,000 and could be the first ever Net zero carbon emmisons stadium.

Nothing much gave away about Hernandez will basically see how it pans out…

About the highlight.

Seems small... is there some kind of expansion capability?

I mean, it's all fucking hypothetical anyway, I guess....

Cormack still saying 30% of season tickets don’t show up each game. It does seem small but highlights that additional 3-4K seats could cost the club 10m plus.

That seems crazy to me. Why are people bothering to buy season tickets?

Unless of course it's bollocks.

I’ve got a couple of STs. I’m in the lucky position I can do that.

I only go a handful of times a season. It’s a bit of a trek, although some do make that trek regularly every home game.

I bought them in response to the lecturing from some in the game about Armageddon when the club formerly known as Rangers went into liquidation. I just thought ‘fuck em.

it’s handy for being quite high up the queue when it comes to higher demand away / neutral games.

but I’m lucky I can do that, I accept that. It’s a donation if you like.

I’m surprised there’s 30% though.

What’s pittodrie capacity? 22,500? It’s certainly too big for us. RDS was a ridiculous decision.

but 16,17 seems very small. Killie will have a bigger ground than us

No issues with a 17k capacity. Pointless spending millions more to reach 20k when it’s rarely achieved.

It is a bit of a tradition thing, but equally we hardly require a bigger capacity.

Probably makes better business sense  to reduce, albeit I’d hope they had the option to add if ever required

17000 seems a bit small, rather it was 20K

But if the club reduce the huns and dims allocation to 200 I would be happy with that

All part of the master plan to have 15000 season ticket holders

Yeah Im not overly thrilled by the capacity drop.

I understand the logic behind it however I do believe if we were to build a stadium (of any capacity) we'd see an increase in average attendance. Pittodrie isn't the most appealing stadium to attend so any alternative will attract more fans.

Any successful Aberdeen side in a shiny new stadium will have 15k plus average attendances. My personal feeling is we should be looking to build a 20k stadium and if not, there certainly needs to be the option of a capacity increase in the future.

Dundee are currently looking to build a bigger stadium than ourselves.

A shiny new stadium is not going to see an increase in attendance like you suggest.

I know plenty of season ticket holders that regularly don’t attend.

Me too. Mainly due to work commitments. But I know some who sometimes haven’t gone because of the anticipated lack of excitement at the game.

I know also that my brother’s employers have a few season tickets that are left for some of their employees and guests to use , but quite often they aren’t always fully taken up. I can well imagine there are other similar examples.

Can’t say I’ve ever heard of anyone choosing not to use their season ticket because of COVID concerns
