Aberdeen 1 - 0 Dundee United

Recommended Posts

We've played 3 teams twice now this season and had 1 good and 1 shite performance against each of them (Motherwell, Hibs and Livi). Keep that up and we should be on course to hump United, Celtic and Rangers in our next 3 games before producing embarrassing performances against St Mirren and Killie over the Christmas period.

As such i'm going for us putting 6 past United. Miovski and Duk with 2 each, Clarkson and finally a cameo goal by CR99.

Due a win v these cunts.

Hoping we can give them a shagging, as we've done to some other sides at home. 6PM KO should make for a good atmosphere.

I'll plump for 3-1 us, though.

Duk, Mio and Scales to get his first.

I’m sure you got us beat the last time you started the match thread.

Won't be an easy game i don't think. And certainly don't think we'll score as freely as we've done at home all season. A game we simply must win though because our 3 after the WC are probably as tough as?we could have got.

Hope we go to a back 4. Either stick McCrorie to RB or bench him.

I think Goodwin will stick with a 3-1-4-2 so that he can keep both Duk & Miovski as strikers as opposed to Duk being forced wide in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.

aye reckon he'll stick with the team that played Hibs with only consideration being Hayes potentially getting a look in ahead of any of Coulson, Richardson or even Clarkson

Really need to win this one if we don't fuck  knows where we will be in the table after the first two games after the WC break as the table is so congested. Don't think many of us have a huge amount of confidence that we can turn Celtic or Sevco over at home considering we haven't beaten either of them at Pittodrie since 2016. We really need to beat United especially after what happened last night.

I'll take a hard fought 2-1 win.

Duk played off the left last night in the 2nd half and thought he actually done really well. I suppose United's centre halves can be got at so he'll probably want Duk running at them all night.

No-one ever plays a 4-4-2 any more.

If you have wide players who aren’t lazy & go back the way too, that could work, but I don’t see it happening.
Hayes for example would also do the hard work back the way.
I’d like Duncan to get game time, but I think he’s a good bit down the pecking order for wide right.

Would take any sort of win on Saturday.

Our record against Utd since they've been back up is pretty dreadful - think we've only had one win and also been on the receiving end of a couple of drubbings (3-0 and 4-0).

They are no great shakes but they are certainly more street smart than us and are capable of playing a system that frustrates us and exploits our weaknesses.

Feels a bit like one of those important make or break games - win it and we'll go into the World Cup break in 3rd feeling positive; fail to win and we'll spend the break questioning Goodwin as manager with an extremely tricky back to back matches against Celtic and Rangers coming up.
